Nice Jacket, boring colors
February 15, 2013
Overall this jacket is nicely made, has good features, and feels very durable. I liked it but didn't love it, mostly because the color was boring and the fit was a bit tight. A quality Burton product, just not for me!
Pros: Build quality, Ease of use, Great valuepretty but not warm

I decided to buy this jacket because it looked slim but with the extra room for movement and I was right. At first I thought a small would be too small because of the slim fit but it fits fine. However, if you were to wear anything too thick the underarms will feel like they're cutting into you. The only thing you can do then is unzip the underarm vents. There are wrist gaiters even though it says there are none. Overall it is nice and it will do it's job.
LOVE IT

Great buy! Its comfortable, it has everything I could want in a snowboarding jacket. Plus everyone compliments me on the color (Royal Pain) and the fit. I just love it!

Bought for my wife and she loves it!

It is classy styling that you could wear out to dinner or out on the slopes. It has all of the features of a very high end shell but moderately priced. She loves it!
Pros: Build quality, PerformanceFor the Long Limbed

I finally found a coat that has long enough arms yet has a form fitting torso. I have really long arms for a girl so it makes shopping a bit difficult. I also like how it is fitting enough to have a feminine appeal yet have enough room to put extra layers on underneath, though I don;t think you'll need the extra layers. The only bad part is its a bit awkward to get things in and out of the front pockets. I really like this coat. Its warm, comfortable, and looks good.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: pockets could be betterDid you recently buy the Burton Jet Set Snowboard Jacket? Write a review.
Still on the fence...
December 06, 2012
I bought this jacket because I was hoping for something that was both performance-oriented AND super cute. Super cute it is for sure. However, I'm still on the fence about the build quality. The zipper feels like the same zipper on my cheap hoodies and the lining feels like a really flimsy material. The goggle pocket is protected my tiny pieces of velcro that don't stick all that well. Soooo... the jury is still out. I've worn it riding two days and it felt fine (although it wasn't quite as warm as I was expecting from an insulated jacket). The fit is great though, and it looks adorable. I usually wear a large in Burton jackets and I had to get an XL in this one to be able to fit layers under it.
Awesome Jacket

Overall the jacket fits really well. I purchased the purple color....I love it! People compliment my jacket all the time =) My only downside is the season pass holder prevents the scanners from reading it sometimes.
Nice Coat

I bought the coat a size smaller than I should but it still had lots of room and was very warm. Hex color is a purple/blue color, but I was pleasantly surprised. Recommended!
Pros: Great design, Performance, Ease of useVery cute coat... but layer underneath!

I tried on numerous coats before finally settling on this one, mostly because of the cut. It's much slimmer and fitted than most winter coats, but still leaves enough room to move around. The Royal Pain color is more of a purple-blue than a royal blue, which I absolutely love (although it was different than what I expected). And despite the slim cut, Burton managed to sneak in loads of useful pockets for goggles, music, etc. There's only a couple of things about the coat that I wish were a little different - the snow skirt is fixed (I'd prefer it to be removable instead) and I wish the coat were warmer. But it's warm enough with a couple of layers underneath, which I'm usually wearing all winter anyway. I'm 5'1", ~110 lbs. and the XS fits me perfectly. I tried on a size S for comparison and it just looked too big. Overall, I think the coat is a pretty good value for the price. It's not as warm as some others I'd looked at - but it's also about half the cost!
love this jacket!!

Classic

This jacket is totally rad how it's inspired by a blazer. The double buttons on velcro are just too cool. I usually fall between a small and a medium, but usually a medium in Burton. I'm 5'4", 130lbs and when I ordered the medium originally it fit fairly large. The arms were extremely long and covered my hands & fingers completely when hanging loosely down. It wasn't flattering around the waist either. I ordered a small instead. The small is pretty fitting, and snug around the waist. I've gotten numerous compliments from men and women, and have only worn it a handful of times. The arms are still a bit long, but not noticeable, and SO worth it. The bottom of the coat hits me right below the hip bones, and the powder skirt fits perfectly. I can lift my arms up and rotate while snapped to my pants and it's not constricting. The quality is not the highest, but the coat is not the highest price either, so the quality matches the price fairly well. I ordered it in the royal blue and it is SO striking. Beautiful & functional. I totally recommend!!

I bought this jacket in the color "gold digger" to go with a pair of burton slim fit snow board pants in kona. the accent on the inside of the jacket is grey along with the glove inserts. Regarding warmth, everyone's preference is different but you definitely don't want to be too hot when you are skiing or boarding. Use the jacket as a shell and layer as necessary. I am 5'6 and weigh 125 and got the jacket in size M, that was perfect. at every point. The only con for me is the velcro and that is just my personal preference that there is too much. I don't like the way it feels when I put my hands in the pockets or the sound it makes but can deal with it because the jacket is just so cool. I wore it on a windy and rainy day and the blazer styling works well as streetwear, just again have to be careful when I put my hands in the pockets if i'm wearing a sweater and be careful of the velcro.
