Great jacket, size too big
February 28, 2011

I loved the way the jacket looked. I would have ordered the same jacket in a smaller size though. If you are going by the chart size I would suggest going down one size. I am 5'3 115lbs and I ordered a medium which was way too big. I spoke with a customer service rep who suggested I order a small. Great service just a bit too big! I will definitely be ordering again!

i love this jacket!
February 20, 2012

i ordered this jacket along with the burton theory jacket. i really love both jackets, but i chose the method over the other. it's very warm, the length of the jacket and sleeves is very good, and the color is beautiful (i got the lady luck blue). what i really liked about it was that when fully zipped, the jacket covers half my face and it stays zipped. the only drawback i can see is that there are no wrist gaiters. i am 5'3" about 120 pounds and the small fits great. i am overall very pleased with this jacket.

Pros: Great design, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: no wrist gaiters

Great purchase
March 06, 2011

I researched multiple jackets before purchasing this one for snowboarding. It's been perfect! It's warm enough for really cold days but also works for warmer days in the snow. The snow skirt works well for keeping the snow out and the adjustable sizing on the bottom helps too. The hood is also adjustable so it actually stays on when it is windy. The only thing that would make it better for me would be another inside pocket - there is only one but it is clear so it works for stashing ID, lift ticket, etc.

Great snowboarding jacket
November 05, 2012

This jacket feels super warm! It is made of a lightweight waterproof material but is definitely insulated. It also has a great fit and you can move freely in it, but it is not baggy!

IÂ’m a big fan of Burton, love the style/ fit, usually wear a medium, this one was a little tight, would order a size up. altrec customer service was very helpful! I ordered both sizes and returned one with no problem! they even gave me the price adjustment for the sale price!

5'7" and 160 lbs and large fit perfectly. It is nice because it is a little bit longer than other boarding jackets I have tried. Very waterproof. The color was a little bit brighter and more yellow (I got the Aloe Gypsy Plaid) than I expected but I still loved it in person.

This jacket is extremely durable, warm, and comfortable. It does fit a little on the small side but overall is a great jacket! Warm without bulk and a great riding jacket!!!!! Great value also :)

Waterproof and warm but too short for biking
February 26, 2011

I got this coat for commuting by bicycle in the winter. When I first got it I was a little concerned that it was too short, and my back would be exposed when I was bent over biking. It turned out that if I had the inner elastic buckle fastened, it wasn't a problem. If that wasn't fastened, it was cold air up my back for the whole ride. I couldn't have the inner wait band fastened the whole time because with layers, it's too tight. It's a great feature for biking when you don't have to layer. I would have just liked this coat to be a little longer. Besides that, the quality of this coat is fantastic! Absolutely waterproof and warm. Quality all around. I'm exchanging it for another (longer) Burton because I loved everything else about it.

Good for city wear
December 16, 2010

This jacket fits well and looks good (I got it in black). It is keeping me warm in DC's first snowstorm. I plan to ski in it in Washington State soon, so I don't know yet how it will do on the mountain. However, it is comfortable and I think it will keep me warm and give enough flexbility. It's a little longer than I thought it would be, but I think it makes it look nicer -- I can wear it to work, so it can pass for a dressy parka. Good price.

Over all very good.
January 24, 2012

I am still checking this jacket out outside, but so far is has been very good. I have yet to try it while snow boarding, but I have been outside while walking in 30 degree weather, and it was very warm even though it initially feels like a light weight jacket. I am looking forward to trying it out in zero and below weather. It offers enough room to layer up if you should get cold, being roomy without making you feel like you are drowning in your own coat. I am about 127 lbs, am 5'7" and am wearing a size small. Checking with the sizing chart and the cut is a good way to make sure its what you want. It is long past the hips and has long arms that go over your wrists.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

Classic Womens Snowboard Jacket
September 07, 2011

This jacket is a great winter/snowboarding jacket. I didn't notice how much I loved the jacket until after I used it and took it off! For a snowboarding jacket, I didn't even notice it was on! It is not bulky or heavy like some of the other snowboarding jackets out there and really allowed me to have full range of motion. I was on the fence about ordering a larger size as the fit is a little tighter than I am use to but necessary to keep the classic look. I am 5'8", 128 pounds and the jacket fit comfortably, I am just use to sizing up. I was able to wear two shirts and a sweatshirt under the jacket without it feeling too tight. I would recommend this jacket for any female snowboarder!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value, Cons: slimmer fit

Love the jacket
March 20, 2012

I received the jacket within 2 business days. I was amazed at how fast the shipping was. The jacket looks really cute on. I love the color and the quality is really good. The only problem is that I can't layer because it becomes too snugged. I'm 5'3" and 110 lbs. I ordered an XS and wish there was a small.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value
