good but not my favorite
February 20, 2012

i got this jacket and the burton method jacket, and i chose the method. while both jackets were very nice and very warm, i chose the other because the zip on the theory jacket only goes just past my chin. i wore this riding last weekend and the jacket kept coming unzipped and several times when i tried to unzip it, it got stuck. however, i really loved the flattering fit and the design (i got flint dotcom in a size small - i'm 5'3" and 120 pounds). it was very warm and waterproof when i wore it, but if you get this jacket i would definitely recommend wearing a bandana or neck gaiter on a powdery/windy day!

Pros: Great design, Performance, Great value
Cons: zip kept coming undone/getting stuck

Not completely disappointed

I purchased the jacket at the end of the season to get a good deal on a ski jacket. I was tired of the form fitting ski jackets and was looking for one that was a little more loose. I would like to wear it at home as well as the ski slopes. You can not wear a bulky sweater or hooded sweatshirt with it. The Jacket itself is not bulky and the color is a little more purple than the picture. It is sturdy made and has a fleece like lining. Because it is the end of the season I do not know how it is in cold weather but I would assume that it is going to be ok as long as you are active in it. The one complaint that I have is that it is a little tight in the hip area.

This jacket is awesome! It's very comfortable and lightweight. The body of the jacket fits perfectly, though the sleeves are just a tad on the long side.

Great jacket, but more like a shell.
February 05, 2011

I ordered this jacket after not having much luck with the fit of other Burton Jackets. This one actually fits! The purple plaid is fun and different. There aren't a lot of extra pockets and features to it, but it does have armpit vents and an interior pass pocket along with one set on the outside. If you're looking for something to keep you warm you may want to pass on this jacket. I like to layer and this is the perfect shell for that.

Great Purchase!

Warm, durable, comfortable and great looking! I bought this jacket for my daughter for Christmas. She had picked it out, but I was surprised at the quality when I received it.

Great Jacket
December 05, 2010

I love this jacket! It is slim fitting, so looks cute but has room in all the right places to really ski/board. Super warm for how little bulk. Inside pockets and powder skirt are great details for the price. Hood actually fits over a helmet. I haven't quite perfected the cuffs over my mitts (I have always gone mitt gaitor over my cuff) but the system should work well once I get used to it. My only negative is that the outside front pockets are very small so not very useful, but it is a classic slim fitting jacket. You're not going to be able to fit you lunch and googles in the pockets.
