Much improved!

I'm very happy with the Antidote reservoir. The lid especially is an excellent improvement over the old Camelbak lids. They required a lot of effort! This one is an easy quarter-turn to open or close. The bladder itself feels thinner or softer than the old ones; I'm hoping durability is the same. The click off hose is great, and the new drying system helps a lot. With the new baffle inside the reservoir, though, you can't stick a towel in there to dry it out. Mine have dried out quickly with the drying system, so no worries there.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

this is my 6th or 7th camelback resivoir and over the years they have made minor changes, until now. Now they have perfected it, easy open mouth with flaps for drying, quick connect hose, seems they made the bite valve a little stiffer as well, plus an internal baffle for sloshing and a new shape that is a breeze to put in and out of the pack. I cant think of anything else they could do to improve it

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

significant improvement
April 17, 2011

This bladder is great. I recently used it on my ski trip at Tuckermans Ravine, NH. I used the 70 oz version and my wife used the 100 oz version. I own four of the past versions of the camelbak bladder and after buying this one, I am going to start upgrading them. The lower profile is much better for a backpack, and fits in the pack much better. The biggest difference is being able to detach the hose. This really facilitates two things. 1. Cleanliness: The bladder can be detached for cleaning and drying out. (this is a HUGE selling point with my wife) 2. Use (most important) It is much easier to thread through hose ports because I can thread them backwards. I can also quickly swap between a regular or insulated hose. The drying arms are great and hold it open (no more stuffing with homemade drying racks) and it is much easier to open the fill port. All in all I am very happy. I definitely recommend this bladder.

Pros: Great design, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: none yet
