Wished it did a bit better
April 26, 2011

After purchasing a few other highly reviewed water bottles, for hiking, and being disappointed at their performance, I was excited to receive this product (again, based on customer reviews). My experience has not been the same as most. I have experimented with these in a few situations. First let me say I live in Florida. Although it is warm here now, it is not hot. My experience with this bottle is that it will keep ice cubes for around 3 hours, in the shade, then the ice will melt and the water will remain cool for about 5 hours. In the sun (which most of the time it will be when hiking) reduce those results quite a bit. So, in my opinion it does perform better at keeping ice and cool water for a longer period of time than aluminum containers , but keep in mind the price, and reduced size. Not sure if the difference is worth it, IF you are going to be out in the sun.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use
