CamelBak®'s SnoBowl™ is the experts-only choice for anyone who has ever been left out in the cold by a leaky or poorly designed hydration pack. It's not uncommon for skiers or snowboarders to lose up to 1.5 liters of water in a morning of cruising blues or busting a few bumps. Dehydration not only saps your strength and energy, but it also increases the chance of injury. The problem is that more than a few hydration reservoir designs either burst after the first fumbled heel side turn or suffer from frozen tubes at altitude. The SnoBowl™ features CamelBak®'s OMEGA™ reservoir, a screw-top pouch tested to seam-bursting extremes that exceed the pressure exerted by the full weight of a passing automobile. This is important because you can wear the insulated SnoBowl™ beneath your jacket to protect it from freezing. The hydration tube remains wrapped in an insulated zip harness system to minimize icing. Used it for a trip to Colorado and it was perfect size to keep you hydrated throughout the day with a refill at lunch.
At first, it was a little strange under the jacket but once you got going, never noticed it.

This pak is great for a person with short stature (which is hard to find)or a child. Is carries enough water for a decent hike. Ones that carry more water are usually longer in the torso. It lays flat on the back taking very little space and is comfortable. I have not tried it in the winter yet but I look forward to durability and insulation features. It is very easy to use.

Works great when the temps are above freezing. The tubing froze on a 1/2 day ski outing. I'd use this on a short hike, but it doesn't look like I can depend on the Camelbak SnoBowl for colder ski days.
