Hydration pouches are almost standard equipment on any pack, but that doesn't imply that any hydration pouch fits every pack. Some hydration pouches feature a stretchy, lightweight fabric material that snags and eventually rips on the rough seams of inexpensive hydration reservoirs. One of our staffers found that a generic hydration pouch burst as he hopped into a friend's car with his daypack on (leaving the car seat soaked in sticky sports drink residue...). I used the camelback during my last two expeditions, Mount Navajo-the Utah-Arizona area & over on the San Fransisco peaks outside of Flagstaff. The product is well made & very smooth because it hugs the backpack & allows your climb to the summit an easy journey. I would highly reccomend this to any camper, hiker, or climber.
Perfect equipment makes for a perfect trip to any peak.

I used the camelback during my last two expeditions, Mount Navajo-the Utah-Arizona area & over on the San Fransisco peaks outside of Flagstaff. The product is well made & very smooth because it hugs the backpack & allows your climb to the summit an easy journey. I would highly reccomend this to any camper, hiker, or climber.
Perfect equipment makes for a perfect trip to any peak.

This is my first hydration reservoir, bought in preparation for desert hiking. I'm quite pleased with the CamelBak's simplicity of design, 3-liter capacity, easy-to-fill wide mouth, and smooth-flowing bite valve. I particularly like the fact that I can place the CamelBak insisde any of my daypacks or backpacks and instantly convert them to "hydration packs" without having to shell out big bucks for a dedicated hydration pack. It's a versatile piece that allows me to expand the uses of equipment I already own.

Mike Stovall - 2004-07-08It's Just What I Was Lookiing For...
Proper hydration is an absolute necessity when you are kayaking in the Texas Summer heat. It was a real inconvenience to lug around a bulky, heavy cooler bag with several bottles of water.
I now conveniently fasten my UnBottle to the back of my kayak seat and loop the water tube up and over to my shoulder. The sturdy outer cover provides good insulation to keep the water cool and the built in D rings make it easy to securely mount almost anywhere. The large filler opening also makes it easy to add ice and makes for easy cleaning. It is great to be able to carry three liters of cold water and not be wasting valuable (in-boat ) space.

The Camelbak UnBottle Hydration System (100oz)is exactly what I needed for the bike rides I go on. The screw cap is large enough that I can easly put ice in to keep the water cool all day. The only problem with the UnBottle is the water in the tube will get warm. It should have come with the thermal control kit. I bought the thermal control kit and now it is perfect.

This water bottle worked as advertised. I used it in a Deuter 40+10 pack and it fit well.
The only problem I had is that I was using the "HydroLock" valve to turn off the water between sips. I learned not to do this when the shut off valve pulled out of the valve body. There appears to be nothing to keep this from occurring. Thankfully I didn't lose the valve or I might not have been able to use the water line since I would not have been able to establish suction. I pushed the valve back in and left the HydroValve turned on for the remainer of my hike, with no more problems. The bite valve is all that seems to be necessary to prevent leaks while hiking.
