Description

Gain the upper hand on winter this season with this warm, down-filled Canada Goose Banff Parka for men. It's insulated with high quality 625-fill power white duck down and has a removable tunnel hood for guys who tend to wear a snowmobile helmet or heavy winter hats outdoors. Unlike a lot of other insulated down jackets, this Men's Banff Parka from Canada Goose features a Slim Insulated fit that's a bit more tapered than conventional puffy down jackets and coats worn by skiers and some snowboarders. The blended polyester/cotton exterior is treated with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish to reduce rain or sleet penetration, although the Men's Banff Parka is probably ideally suited for sub-freezing weather conditions when snow and ice pellets refuse to melt. Canada Goose applied ribbed storm cuffs and an internal adjustable elastic drawcord along the hem to help seal in thermal warmth.

Wonderful Winter Coat
December 13, 2011

I bought this coat for my husband and he just loves it! We live in Minnesota and he takes the bus to work so he stands out in the cold for a while. This keeps him nice and warm. It is pricey, but a great investment considering it's about 2x the price of a similar North Face product, but with much, much higher quality. No worries with down coming through the fabric - it is so durable - it's coated and waterproof. There are wonderful details like soft leather along the zipper placket and pocket flap. It is slimmer than most other coats my husband tried on, which is great for him. It's more of an "athletic, slim fit" - so keep this in mind. Highly recommend

Very good fit.
April 27, 2012

I had bought for me to wear. Chest and arm, which is much larger However, much longer length clothing. My key is 170cm. Large-size clothes for my height and long. It is bad. Bought black. The North Face jackets and similar to the maekmeodok. Maekmeodok softer than the one thousand and two. However, the thickness of the thin and light weight. Warmth is not known. I will come back to try on in the winter.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Cons: Cost, Bad design

best winter gear for a commuter
November 10, 2012

This Canada Goose Banff Parka is the best item for a regular commuter during heavy winter season. It fits true to size perfectly because it's a slim-cut. I was having hard to deciding this vs. Expedition style, but I'm now happy with this item because this is more fitting and stylish than Expedition. It's durable and not extremely heavy and generic so that you can wear it with compatible styling. I strongly recommend this style and Canada Goose items because of overall qualify and warmth.

Canada Goose Chateau Parka
March 21, 2013

The best coat I have ever owned by a long shot. I ordered a large size (I am a size 40 in a sport coat) thinking that it would accommodate layering, which it does, but so far layering seems to be unnecessary. The coat is very warm and very well constructed.

BEST WINTER WEAR!!!
December 27, 2012

I bought canada goose for myself first and I loved it. So I bought this parka for my husband, and he really loves it!!! very high quality and comfortable. and the package arrived much faster than we expected, =) his weight is around 160 and wears 32 pants, and medium size fits right. It looks little bit bulky at first, but it's winter jacket so any winter parka will look the same. And small would be tight if he wears winter clothes inside. It is a bit pricy, and worth every penny. I recommend this brand to everyone!

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Great value, Cons: Cost

High Quality Product
May 02, 2012

I had to replace a stolen Mountain Hardware parka; purchased (and returned) parkas from North Face, Patagonia, and Mountain Hardware- the "parkas" from these big 3 were either cut like a snow boarding jacket (way too baggy- baggy fit not good for keeping you warm), unattractive, or the jacket seemed like it was subjected to aggressive cost cutting by the accounting dept.). Specifically, my previous jacket was the Mountain Hardware Downtown Parka and the current version of the Downtown seems to have a lot less down in the sleeves and the jacket fabric is no longer Conduit (very tough and water repellent) but instead a cheaper looking/feeling material. In any case, the quality of the Canada Goose product is evident the moment you take it out of the bag and overall is very attractive. The zippers and buttons are very heavy duty. The jacket itself is no more bulky than other parkas. I'm 6'1", 155 lbs., and the large fits me best (the fit is slim cut). The Banff Parka is very stylish but in so doing, the zipper stops at the throat level. For super cold days, if you want something that zips all the way to your chin, pick another jacket from their line. Overall I would recommend this product very highly despite the price tag.

Great coat
December 27, 2012

This coat is near perfect. It is very warm, slim-cut, handsome, durable, waterproof, and extends to mid-thigh. The only things I don't like are: 1. The lack of hand pockets on the outside and one or two more zippered pockets on the inside. 2. The neck coverage is problematic. The zipper doesn't extend up to cover the neck. Instead it requires a couple of snaps on an extension of the hood. It's nice because it's easier to wear a scarf without choking yourself, but on days without a scarf it's drafty. 3. The price tag. All the same, I would highly recommend this jacket. I look forward to being toasty warm all winter.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Cons: Cost, pockets, neck coverage

Great Jacket - fit is a little diff from other CG
November 27, 2010

This is a great jacket. The build quality is extremely high with great attention to detail. It also is EXTREMELY warm - you will not be cold in this jacket. The only thing to be aware of with this jacket is that the fit is a little smaller than other CG products. I tried on an expedition in a local store and the M was too big. I know that the Banff is cut a little slimmer so I thought that the M would be perfect - however, it turns out it is a little small and I am going to have to move up to the L. Overall a great coat, but just be aware of the sizing if you are trying locally but buying online.

Great Jacket
September 28, 2012

I have bought this jacket last winter and plan on buying another for my father. This down jacket keeps you very warm in Minnesota harsh winters and looks very stylish. This jacket is fitted so you may want to order a size up from what you usually buy and this based on my height of 6'2" and weight of 195 lbs. This is a great jacket at a great price.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Great value
