Ideal for guys who need a warm, windproof and highly packable down jacket for travel and backcountry, the Canada Goose Lodge Jacket for men features 750-fill white duck down, windproof and abrasion-resistant exterior fabric and a brushed-tricot inner pocket that doubles as a storage compartment and camping pillow. While some down-filled puffy jackets easily fray against abrasive rock and snow, the Canada Goose Men's Lodge Jacket has an updated, durable ripstop nylon exterior that withstands more abuse than most conventional insulated outerwear. It features a dropped back hem and stretch cuffs for consistent coverage, and an adjustable and insulated tunnel hood for extra warmth and wind protection around your head. Keep in mind that the Lodge Jacket for men is only water-resistant. If you require waterproof outerwear, the Lodge Jacked does snap into Regular Fit shells made by Canada Goose.

Good for temprature in windy 40s in the northeast. Comfortable and good quality. A bit light and might not hold up in really cold weather. Order one size up and layer up in colder days.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value

Good jacket
January 02, 2010

I have worn this jacket for three weeks now and it feels very warm and comfortable. My only observation is that it needs a detachable hood. I cannot find the perfect light warm jacket with all the features to make it perfect. I recommend it.

feature-rich down jacket
April 02, 2013

I'm 6', 160 lbs, and the Large fits me well, with room for layering. This is definitely a warm jacket, but not as warm as other down jackets I've tried (e.g. Rab infinity). The style is unique, not quite the typical "marshmallow man" look associated with most puffy jackets (the down is still efficiently compartmentalized, but there is an outer shell that sort of hides the inner segments). The features I love about this jacket (and which are rare in down jackets) are the two-way main zipper and the excellent array of pockets (huge inner zipper pocket, convenient open mesh inner pocket, three zippered outer pockets). The main zipper could be improved – so far it's performed okay, but I feel like it should be more buttery with bigger teeth. Last little complaint – the cuffs are quite comfortable, but they are elasticized and I suspect they are vulnerable to being stretched out over time. overall, I highly recommend the jacket

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, organization/pockets, 2-way zipper

Awesome Jacket
December 13, 2011

I was looking for a toasty warm, sporty jacket that is a bit more stylish and unique than so many of the other down puffers out there. This jacket is fantastic - it's really warm and fits like a glove (slim without being constricting). The jacket is really well made, with great detailing and thoughtful features. The cuffs are a really nice touch, as is the adjustable waist tension in the pockets. Great jacket from a fantastic maker. P.S. Its is actually made in Canada!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

Perfect Fit and Perfect Warmth
December 01, 2009

This is the perfect down jacket for those that do no want that puffy, huge jacket feel. I was looking for a down jacket for a long time and tried TNF Elypsium but it was still too "puffy" for my liking. I prefer more of a fitted look and Canada Goose Lodge jacket was perfect. I am 5 11' 185 and the Medium is an absolutely perfect fit. I love it and the warmth is just what i wanted in a down jacket. The look, feel, fit and warmth are perfect in every way. I highly recommend this jacket.

For those who really care for quality
November 06, 2011

For a long time I have been looking for an ULTRA-LIGHT-WEIGHT and ULTRA-THIN Jacket - that would really keep me WARM in extremely cold days (we have more than enough of these in NY). Finally and fortunately, the ALTREC super professional team recommended the Canada-Goose Lodge. This is the ultimate JACKET for anyone that really cares for quality - and is interested in LIGHT WEIGHT JACKET. This Jacket shouts QUALITY. It shouts DESIGN. It is fantastic and I believe a great value for money.

a little different than the average jacket
December 20, 2011

I have several similar down jackets to compare with: The Lodge (in size L) is a little heavier (563 g.-it seems that they stuffed about 6oz. of 750 fill into it- a lot, making it very warm!); slimmer fit; a little shorter (28" back length compared to most at 29-30") mostly comfy smooth nylon around the neck (some have tricot or fleece all around, Lodge only in front); and a lot warmer. This jacket oozes quality- the fit, materials and stitching are superb and blow away the rest in that respect. I've had it out in low 30 degree windy weather and it is warmer than most and quite resistant to wind. BUT- I wear large in most jackets and I find I usually have enough roominess to modestly layer underneath. I cannot layer underneath the Lodge. If you want to wear anything warm underneath it, SIZE UP! It is very comfortable and shaped beautifully slim, as though it were custom tailored- you'll look good in it for sure. Because of its 28" back length, I believe that they intend it to be the insulation layer, not the outer. It is perfect under even short wp shells because they cover it completely: it will stay dry. As to durability, how durable can 20 denier nylon be? I'm not going to put it to a test! Note: left handed zipper pull like european models. I wish they didn't put that dumb patch on the shoulder. Expensive too.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use
