My main concerns were fit and warmth (I'm smallish, 5'4" 110 lbs, with lousy circulation, moving to Chicago, a real wimp about the cold). I can't speak to warmth, as I've yet to move, but as for fit, it's a keeper. The XS runs perfect--snug, but allows a sweater layer, with wrist cuffs to prevent drafts up the sleeves. I appreciate that the fabric on the outside is not that shiny polyester typical of down coats; also, no scratchy Velcro. My only reservation is that there is about an inch gap where the coat meets at the bottom, below the zipper. It's probably not an issue, but given the above-the-knee length of the coat, I wish the bottom was enclosed. I'm wondering if I'll want a longer coat in gusty weather, but will see how I fare.
Love this coat

My kids love winter sports - ice hockey, figure skating, you name it - and I was so tired of being cold at the rink side. Not anymore - just watched a game yesterday without being the slightest bit cold! I spent a long time choosing the model of Canada Goose that was the right choice for me, and ended up with Kensington because I am tall, and this is the only model that comes just above my knees, and because of the sleek design. The coat is beautiful with the real fur, and very elegant for the warmth. The quality is just fantastic. Although expensive, I really think this coat is worth every cent. It feels so much more comfortable than other coats with similar warmth, and I do have quite a lot of experience here! The only negative is that the hood doesn't come off, but personally I don't really mind that.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, super warmBest of the best

I recently purchased the Canada Goose Kensington Parka for a trip my husband and I are taking to Eastern Europe this Christmas. I live in Australia so itÂ’s quite difficult to find weather appropriate clothing for ultra-cold conditions. It also meant that I couldnÂ’t try on any of the coats I was researching. After doing A LOT of research and reading every review I could find I settled on the Kensington. The people at Canada Goose were really helpful in providing me with the exact measurements of the Kensington which I compared to some coats I already have and eventually I decided to buy the medium (I am 6Â’1 and 140lbs). ItÂ’s quite a fitted coat and the small wouldÂ’ve fitted me perfectly but I decided to get the next size up so I could have the option to wear layers underneath if I need toÂ…I REALLY feel the cold. When it arrived I was so excited to try it on. Because I am tall and slim I often have trouble with sleeve length but the coat fits amazingly well and SO comfortable. ItÂ’s a little bulky around the bum area because I went for the bigger size but I can cope with that. The fleece-lined pockets are so toasty and the hood is fantastic. I cannot comment on the warmth just yet (although after a few minutes of having it on I was sweating!), I cannot fault the fit or comfort at all. IÂ’m so happy that I purchased the Kensington Parka, itÂ’s fantastic.
Pros: Great design, Build qualityGreat Look and Purpose

I originally bought the trillium XS and thought I needed something that heavy duty for working outside but I'm wrong. The trillium is too thick so I decided to try the Kensington which is slightly longer and has half the insulation (re: CG). The Kensington is definetely slimmer but warm enough for me to be 2-3 hours outside in -20. It looks great and it's warm so good enough for me. Though I wasn't sure why the price difference between the Trillium and Kensington as the trillium appears to be a lot thicker, thicker materials, better fur and just seem better quality overall. The Kensington has slightly weird buttons that I don't use because they are not very practical at all. I prefer the Trillium snap buttons for ease of use. The chest warmer pockets on the Kensington are too short for you to put your hands in. However, I still choose the Kensington for the style. Pros: slimming & warm, rear flaps, carrying inside straps Cons: no neck protection, tight neck colar/zipper, no wire in the hood and the hood is not detachable (the fur is).
Pros: Great design, Build quality, carrying strap, warm enough, slimming
