Great pants for active young man
December 01, 2012

My 15-year-old son is picky about his pants and hard on them, too. These fit the bill. They look nice and neat on him and stand up to everyday active wear. He wears them to school. The high-quality material is substantial. The pants are a little stiff until the first wash or so; after that, they they wear just fine. We're pleased with the various colors, too. We actually ordered two pairs of this same pant.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Great value

great work pants
July 24, 2011

These are my favorite work pants during the hot summer months. Not as hot and sticky as the cotton duck just perfect!! only drawback is the fabric doesn't wear like iron but that is to be expected.

Pros: Great design

what can i say I ordered two more pairs of these bad boys
April 10, 2009

It is true that these pants sit on the natural hip. I bought a pair prior in the past that sat lower than the hip and it just looked weird. These pants are the perfect fit, not too tight and not too baggy. The material seems very durable and I look forward to putting them to the test..when I say them I mean all three of them ;)

quality, comfort, style
March 14, 2011

The lighter weight canvas Carhart is a great utility pant, if you're not doing heavy construction everyday. This is my 3rd pair over the years. Great pant for casual use - working around the house, taking kids to park, bouldering, they are even pretty comfortable under a harness for sport climbing. The pockets are in the right spots and I've actually used the hammer loop from time to time. The dungeree fit is good for me, but it seems that carhart may have made the pants a little bigger over the years, even though the same size. But after you break them in and wash them a few times, they come down to size. They are the go to weekend pants. I would recommend these over "Mountain Kakis" any day. Those pants are pretty much a Carhart duct work pant, with more hype, cost, and less comfort. I tried them before I replaced my Carharts and was dissapointed. The crotch gussett gets all bunched up and not very comfortable. The Carhart doesn't have the gussett, but is cut well and roomy enought in the thigh and seat that you can move unrestricted, without it.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Great value

Somewhat disappointed
December 29, 2011

My height is 5'10" and weight is 165 lbs. I normally wear a size 34 waist trouser, but since this product was 100% cotton, I decided to go for a 35 waist, hoping that with washing it would stay comfortable. However, these trousers run small, and the 35 waist was snug when new. So, I returned them and re-ordered a size 36 hoping that with washing they would fit properly. The "canvas" description is a bit misleading because the material weight does not feel canvas weight. Olive color is true to the photo on this site.

Carhartt Dungaree
November 09, 2010

A very comfortable and durable jean. Great for casual weekend wear or working around the house. Inseam length a bit long with regular shoes so make sure you take an inch off your normal size. Otherwise you'll be dragging the cuff in the dirt.

My New Favorites
December 30, 2013

I started wearing Carhartt shorts over the summer which are great, so I figured I would try the pants. Good fit, although somewhat inconsistent pair to pair, but not a big enough deal to make a fuss. Sturdy and the pockets are the key feature that keeps me wearing them. The side pocket holds iPhone perfectly and it's never fallen out. I also carry a pedometer which also fits in the other side pocket perfectly. To have the phone out of a front pocket is a huge plus for me. Overall great product I would recommend.

The best pants for actual work tasks
March 29, 2012

I am a big believer in the benefits of using the right tool for the right job. When it comes to work wear, the Carhartt's dungarees are the right tool and far superior to an old pair of jeans. The fit of the dungarees is properly designed for real work. They sit at the natural waist which is the most comfortable place when repeatedly getting up and down. They are loose through the seat and thighs so that movement is not restricted but they are not baggy so there is no chafing from excess fabric. The lightweight fabric is cooler and more breathable than any denim and is remarkably durable. The construction is very good with wide belt loops and reinforced stitching. Admittedly, these pants are more expensive than simply using a pair of my old jeans, but I do a fair amount of my own work (yard, cars, home improvement, etc.) and the increased comfort and performance of these pants has been worth the cost for me.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Cons: Cost

Great pants, good price
March 19, 2010

I have several pairs of these pants. They fit well, and are very sturdy construction. I like the side pockets for tools, and often use it for my cell phone too. They look good enough to wear casually, but were obviously made to work in.

Another great Carhartt product

The fit is true to the brand, with a relaxed fit and comfort that lasts all day long. The black color is dark ebony, not a lighter charcoal. Great product!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value

The best I can find...
June 22, 2009

These pants are the best I can find. When new, they can go from the warehouse to the boardroom with function and style. Unfortunately, they fade-out when washed frequently. Also, I hang dry the pants to prevent shrinking at the seams, which can decrease flexibility. An ideal modification would be a gusseted crotch.

Built to Last
May 09, 2011

These pants are lightweight enough for everyday wear. They don't weigh you down and they are comfortable even in summer months. I love having the extra pockets for cell phone, tools, etc. The fit is relaxed enough to easily fit over work boots and is comfortable, but not so much that they look "baggy". I haven't worn this pair long enough to speak of longevity, but similar Carhartt pants have lasted me a very long time.

October 31, 2011

I've probably had 10 pairs of these because they're perfect for work. I carry clippers in one of the tool pockets, handy tools in the regular pockets. They're almost impervious to any stickers or weeds and comfortable even when it's 90 degrees.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value

This was a great buy - I typically have a difficult time finding Carhartt dungaree's in a retail store that are long enough for my husband. The Altrec site offered longer lengths to choose from.

Good fit and looks good.
March 31, 2010

I was looking for something lite weight and roomy for when working in warm weather. These are great! My only minor complaint is that the seam going down the leg shrank and wrinkled. You might want to dry on low.

My husband loves this pants! Very comfotable, plenty of pockets, wide belt loops, cool and stlyish. He works outside and these are perfect it's been 90 to 95 here and this pants have have been way cooler than jeans. I only gave "good " on the Durability because he 's only worn the 3 pair I purchased for about 2 weeks but so far they wash great, easy to clean spots and they cut way back on drying time! I'm going to order 2 more ASAP! Highly recommend!! another great product from Carhartt! Thanks Altrec for great prices and great products!

Carhart B151 Men's Dungaree Pant
May 16, 2011

Great pants. Very comfortable to wear for work and casually. I am 6'3" and 290 pounds. Plenty of room in the thigh and seat to move around. Between the loose fit and lightweight material, you dont get as warm as wearing jeans, for example. Plenty of additional pockets for cell phone, keys, camera, tools, etc. Very happy to have found these at Altrec at such a great price. I purchased three pairs. When you find something you like you should stick with it.

Great Going Out Pant
February 21, 2011

Very comfortable pant made of soft fabric. Not sure if they would hold up to the rigors of daily ranch work. All Carhartts work pants are not crated equal. This pair although the name is, Dungaree is just fine for going out and relaxing. They might not hold up lots of physical work.
