These are great pants that probably wear great in the work place unless you are a welder like myself. So far no real holes but grinding and welding seem to melt the cordura but not burn it. Cordura is a bit shiny but not so much I would worry about it. Construction of these pants is top notch, comfort is as can be expected from heavy duty work pants. I think durability remains to be seen but if I have to guess these will be every bit as durable as any work pant out there.

Great fitting pants-prefer the fit here to the other Carhartt options as the waist is lower. However, the Cordura front was shinier than I expected and I didn't like that look-although it's super durable. As I don't need the Cordura for my work, I decided to send them back. I returned them and am looking for the same model pants without the Cordura. I ordered a 40 though I wear a 38 as some of my other Carhartt pants seem to wear tight on the waist.

I bought these work pants for my son who is a builder/contractor. He is constantly bringing me his work pants to be mended - even his Carhartt heavy duty carpenter pants with the double front. In fact, several of his work pants have more patches than original pant. When I saw these Carhartts with the cordora front, I decided to try them. So far, they seem to be functioning as I had hoped. My son said that even a knife did not cut them. Horray! Now, maybe I will have time to make some fun things instead of doing repairs. I plan to buy him another couple of pairs.
