Kept it for myself!
I bought this hoodie as a gift for my husband. As soon as it arrived, I was in love. I've been wearing it all winter long. Even in the cold temps & wind chill, it has kept me warmer than my winter coat. As other reviewers have mentioned - the thermal lining is not soft at all. I always wear long sleeves with it & it hasn't bothered me. I plan on buying another one, just so my husband can have his back. Highly recommend!

Heavy and Warm
I needed a warm hoodie to layer as the weather changed. This was a great choice. It's very well insulated. I'm 6'2", 245 lbs and the 2XL fits perfectly. It has a heavy duty brass zipper with a very large pull tab that's easy to grab, even with gloves on. If I had to pick a flaw, I wish the inside was softer on bare skin. If I wear it over a t-shirt, I don't like the way it feels on my arms. Washing it and letting it break in may remedy this problem.

Great product and excellent service!!
I ordered a black 3xlt hoodie for a Christmas gift for my husband. We have difficulty finding his size in anything let alone Carhartt! We will be buying two additional hoodies as they are extremely warm and easy to work in :) Thank you Altrec!

Great shirt
Heavy shirt, good quality! Overall Great purchase. What you would expect from Carhart. Very warm and great without the bulk of a heavy sweatshirt/hoodie.

Praise
My sister ordered several Carhart crewneck sweatshirts.They ran a little large so she kept one, and as always, asked if I would be interested in the other for my son, rather than going to the trouble of sending it back.
My son loved it and told his brother, who wanted to know if they came in a hooded style. Since then I've ordered (4) of the Carhart hooded, lined sweatshirts. (Item# 41385) They give you the warmth of a heavier jacket, but the light-weight feeling and flexibility of a sweatshirt, without the bulk of a heavy jacket. This is a great idea.
I also think the staff at (altrec.com) is great.

I wear these thermal zip-ups all winter long. Plenty warm and wear like iron. The hood is softer than the heavy coats and fits around my head, especially in windy weather. I love these so much, I have gone though 3 of them over the past 10 years and they never wore out - just got so dirty, I couldn't clean them anymore.

Maybe I received a bad one
The fabric quality is good and looks durable. The lining is rough to the skin. The XL is too large on me (6'2" - 195 lbs.). Unfortunately the seam from the neck to the shoulder was 1/2" longer on the right side vs. the left, giving it a lopsided look. Decided to return it.

Heavy-duty hoodie!!
2nd one I've gotten only because my fiance likes his hoodies black but rides a motorcycle daily and that means sun fades them over time. He's 6'3", 220lbs and the XXL fits him very well. It is warm enough to wear riding at 6am, has an inside zipper pocket too. A really great super-heavy-duty sweatshirt hoodie!! =)

Great Sweatshirt
For quite some time I had been looking around for a high quality zip-front hooded sweatshirt. This one is exactly what I was looking for. The construction and materials are sturdy, and it's warm enough for a cool windy day. The 3-piece hood is roomy and comfortable. I appreciate the inside pocket for my wallet and other valuables. I especially like the overall good-looking design and regularly wear this sweatshirt around town and on casual occasions. In fact, I'd like to get another one in a different color. The only thing less than ideal is that the elastic waistband is a little tighter than I prefer, but this is relatively minor thing.

Great
Jacket is pricey but well worth it. Super warm and well constructed, very durable. Great in 30 to 40 degree weather. Carhartt products are made to last, this jacket is no different.

I should have found this years ago. I do Security at the local hospital , and those outdoor winter patrols are very cold.
This Insulated Sweatshirt reduced how many layers I usually don to go out in temps ranging in the teens and twenty's with a wind chill of 4 degrees .
So yes I would recommend this Carhartt Sweat shirt by all means !
It is very comfortable too, when I first recieved it I almost could not take it off long enough to wash it !

Happy
Ordered this sweatshirt for my wife as she prefers men's sweatshirts. It arrived on schedule and was exactly what we expected. It has proven to be very warm and for the most part, comfortable. The only complaint would that the lining can be irritating if contacting skin directly.
Overall happy with the purchase.

Toughest Sweatshirt You'll Ever Own
Carhartt's thermal lined zip front sweat is both durable and warm with the comfort of a sweatshirt. Purchased to layer with shell jackets and vests in the winter and am very pleased. Great for fall weather as well. Heavy duty zipper, inside zip pocket, three piece hood and large hand warming pockets provide a functional sweatshirt to top the rest!

Look what Santa brought via Altrec!
My husband had an old Carhartt thermal sweatshirt that needed replacing. I ordered this for him for Christmas. My husband is 6 ft. tall and around 160 lbs. I ordered the size Large and it fits perfectly. The heathered gray is a really nice color. It almost looks blue in some lights. Living in Southern California there really is not much need for a heavy coat so this is the perfect weight for him here in the colder months or when he goes camping.
The only thing I dislike is the zipper pull which is a tacky gold color. My husband didn't care though.
Altrec had fast shipping and it came in plenty of time for Christmas.

love this sweatshirt, do they make it for women?
I bought this sweatshirt for my boyfriend and not only does it look great on him in charcoal but, I really want one for myself now. It's perfect for an under layer but, is warm enough just by itself. That's saying a lot since i live in Wyoming.

warm and comfortable
This is one of the best carhartt products that i have ever purchased. It is durable, comfortable and just right in cooler weather. The sizing is accurate with plenty of room and length to the sleeves. The zipper is heavy duty and holds up well to everyday work wear. Overall...a great product for the money!

Great Hoodie!
Bought this hoodie for my adult son. He LOVES IT! Not only is it warm and comfortable, but it is extremely durable. His job is spent mostly outdoors, and in the colder months he finds this hoodie a welcome relief from the wind and cold. He is very hard on clothes but this hoodie has no trouble standing up to what he needs. Carhartt makes some excellent products and I would recommend this hoodie to any guy who wants warmth and comfort from the colder weather.

Not bad.
Overall, it's a great hoodie. Warm and nice head forming hood so you don't get the pointed style. My only problem is with the thermal lining, I'm not sure what the material is and though it's seems very durable its kind of rough against the skin. I'm currently wearing only t shirts under the hoodie at the moment, a long sleeve shirt and there would be no problem, although for the price of this hoodie you would think the would make the inner lining a little more comfortable to the touch. After one was it has reduced the abrasiveness and may become softer as time goes on, we'll have to see.

Sweatshirt/Jacket
This is my third thermal lined Carhartt sweatshirt. I love them and wear them throughout the Fall and Winter months. Plenty warm and I especially like the heavyweight. Also, there is a zippered pocket on the inside that comes in handy. Perfect for outdoor activities, whether as a jacket or for cold weather layering.

Great COLD weather sweatshirt
My son called from school last weekend...he's up on the Canadian border, and it was 36 below zero with the wind chill factored in! He ventured out in long underwear, a long-sleeved thermal shirt, and this thermal lined zip-up sweatshirt. Along with a hat, boots, and heavy gloves, he kept warm on his way, walking across campus to cheer on his college ice hockey team! He LOVES this sweatshirt! Thanks!!
