These are champs when it comes to keeping the water away. I really like the overall-style design because it eliminates the gap between your jacket and pants. The only down side to these pants are the buckles on the straps, they put buckles on both sides and they are large and can be a bit annoying but overall I would not trade these pants for anything. The fit is a bit larger than I thought it would be, got a M, but I could have gone smaller as the pant legs could fit 2 of my legs but the waist is comfy, but also could be a bit smaller.
