Great bib overalls, think they def. run "smallish"
I bought these for riding my scooter in very cold weather (ok, laugh if you want). I think the length runs about right. I wear a 27inch inseam and I got the 28 inch bibs. They'd be long to walk in but fine for riding. Carhartt does reccomend for shrinkage. I bought the waist 3 sizes bigger than i normally would for pants and i'm glad i didn't go any smaller. i can fit a long sleeve shirt and probably a 200 weight fleece shirt underneath the overalls but i wouldn't want to put much more especially since i haven't washed them. Overall, Carhartt has a great reputation but i was disappointed in the clasps that connect the shoulder straps to the front "pouch". i was expecting sewn metal buttons and it has thin metal connectors.

Carhartt R27 Bib Overalls
I am a hands-on commercial site super and I move inside and outside frequently. These are great and exactly what I wanted. They allow you the flexibility to remove your jacket as you and or the temperature rises. I prefer the medium 12 oz. quilted lining as I do wear layers underneath. They provide plenty of warmth and still protect me from the wind and elements. Make sure you size up at least one size maybe two if you like a looser fit or wear bulky clothing. I wear a thirty-two waist and purchased the thirty-four bib. They fit well, but if I wear a heavy sweatshirt I have to unbutton the top side buttons which is exactly what they are for. The sandstone shell is nice and soft making it easy to move around. The chest pockets are great for your phone, cash, pencils, tools, whatever. The fly is great too for obvious reasons. As far as durability... I have'nt had them long enough, but if you've purchased Carhartt products in the past than you know they will take care of you for a long time. Staying warm in NJ!

Carhartt overalls
These are great, my husband wears them for work and I steal them to shovel snow! This is our second set, he wore out the first two pairs but he is REALLY hard on them and i think they lasted 2+ years using them every day in the winter.

bibs very best ever
I throughly believe these Carhartt sandstone bibs are the best ever.......they are very warm in 16 degrees weather.....the sandstone material is very soft...........the side zippers make the bibs easy on easy off..........I feel the quality of these overalls will endure for years. I recommend size up as I wear size 34" and ordered 38". This is a good fit. Carhartt has always produced the best quailty in outdoor wear..........shad

Awesome Bibs!!!
This is a great set of bibs, very comfortable and very warm. great for the cold days spent outside working on the farm. Buy them a little bigger than what you normally buy pants at because that way you can put clothes on under it. Overall an awesome addition to my outerwear collection.

quality carhartt product
the sandstone finish makes these bibs soft and lining is very warm not bulky.... quality product

Carharrt usually always has high quality work gear and these bibs are no exception. These lined bibs are warmer than the unlined and not as bulky as the arctic lined. My bibs fit well but I went to Carhartt's web site for a better size chart the one on Altrecs site is not accurate. These bibs are of duck material but the sand stone washing makes them nice and soft right from the box.

Perfect for the cold
I love these bibs. I can work all day in the snow in these and never feel cold. The only thing I recommend is wear tall boots if you are working in snow, as the legs will get wet and heavy. But even after many hours, the wet does not seep all the way through the quilting. I recommend going a size up for comfort. For example, I wear a 32" waist in Carhartt, Mountain Khakis and Patagonia pants, but I sized up to a 34" in the bibs. They look great and I can slip them on over jeans and a fleece. Get the sandstone version, they are really soft and comfortable on day 1.

Great Value
I have ordered several of these nice quilt lined sandstone overalls. Very comfortable and prewashed for comfortable fit out of the box. Highly recommend for all Fall/Winter outdoor activities.

Work on farm northeast USA. Durable for any job can slip on if want to keep underneath clean. True to size. Would buy again but probably won't have to as will last rest of my life

Great item! Very impressed!
I purchased this item for my husband. He works in a pipe fab shop and it gets very cold in the winter. These bibs are durable enough to hold up for his job, lightweight enough that he can still move, and will keep him warm. I highly recommend for any guy that works in the winter elements.
