The vest is well made in every respect: very warm, durable, good looking. The problem was the size. The Large was way too small and tight fitting. I am 5'9"/178lbs and not overly big and that I would reqiuire XL. I did not return it, but am giving it to my son who is smaller than I am.

This is my 1st Carhartt purchase and won't be my last. Great conforf with a rugged fashion sense. This is the quality you often seek but don't find in other brands. This vest is great for layaring and is deceptivly warm. Buy it!

Really well made vest. Warm, and fits well. Great buy, and would recommend to anyone. Size is a bit large, and I'm a 6' 2" and a M fits well.

Vest Solves Warmth Issue

We're having an extra cold winter, and my husband wanted a vest to wear indoors over his sweaters. This vest looks good--neither an outdoor/hunting look nor a down jacket look--for wearing daily. It has a casual but not sloppy-looking style. The Sherpa lining provides just the right warmth, even when the temperature in his lower level office is only 65 degrees. The light tan color goes with any of my husband's shirts and sweaters. The medium-size fit is not tight over a sweater (hubby has a true medium build). It is not too bulky to wear under an outdoor jacket either, and he says it keeps him plenty warm when he's shoveling snow.

I love this vest, I can't work in a coat so this vest gives me that extra little warmth I need when chilled. It has two inside pockets which are great for carrying a cell phone, mini mag lite, etc. Worth the price!

Vest looks and fits great. Lining is very soft. I also like that it's not bulky...real useful working in a brewery. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Fits a little smaller than I thought it would, but it's perfect underneath a coat when you need a little extra warmth, and is perfect by itself when the temperature is 50 +. It's a great vest, and I have a hard time keeping my friends from wearing it.

Been looking for over a year for a vest to try on in a store and see if it worked. I wanted something that wasn't fleece, and I finally broke down and ordered this one sight unseen. VERY GLAD I ORDERED. It is exactly what I have been wanting. Great fit, good pockets, nice lining which is warm (its a vest, so you don't want too much). Very happy with it and would certainly order again!

Very durable and warm. I thought that I was spending too much money for the vest but it turns out that it was well worth the price. I wear it practically every day!

For the past several years I have been searching for a vest that I could wear during the rainy season. My closet has its share of fine woven fabrics that can be worn in dry weather, but nothing that holds up in the rain. The Carhartt Vest is made tough and it keeps me warm during those cold mornings. The Sherpa lining goes a long way to keep my back from getting stiff due to the cold winds. This is a welcome addition to my wardrobe.

Super item for work/play outside. Very durable useful for late fall season up to winter seasons. You can't go wrong with this item. I'm avid out doors man and since the purchase ive wrong it to all types of occasions and activities out side. Whish they had few more colors to choose from.

I have been looking for this vest (V-neck) and found only this men's version. I am a 5'4" woman, 130lbs. I must lift the zipper to my waistline to zip it up, then pull the hem back down. Other than the snugginess at the zip-it point the vest is the best.

Very nice vest for the price. I finally broke down and bought a new one after 10 years of wear on my older one. I still like my old one but it's very nice having a new one to wear out and about. Every one has given wonderful compliments too!

I had purchased this vest several years ago and love the fit and comfort level for the in-between seasons. A new vest was purchased due to a personal weight loss not due to wear. The vest was repurchased as it allows ease of movement while providing an extra layer to block the wind and cold. It is made of rugged and durable material yet the soft Sherpa lining is very comfortable. I enjoy using it during the spring and fall seasons.

I am very happy with my sherpa lined carhartt vest. rugged and classy. True to size. Only complaint is the zipper is not as smooth as I would expect on a quality product. Not bad, but could be better. Thanks Altrec, great price!

Keeps you warm with out the puffiness of a down vest. Wears and washes great, even grease comes out! Will probably order a third color.

Not quite as heavy as a jacket. Quality construction. Brass zipper. I'm 5'5" 156 lbs., Medium regular fit great.
