Great Jacket
This is a great jacket. The sizing is spot on. The fit is extremely comfortable due to the split, bi-swing back and pleated elbows. The cuffs keep the cold weather out, excellent feature. Will use this a my everyday winter coat and expect long-term use from it.

Tough but looks good enough for everyday
The Sierra Jacket looks good enough to be worn as an everyday coat but is so durable that it feels like it will last forever! I am very happy with my purchase!

very good med weight jacket.
This is a very durable med weight jacket, exellent movment while working and plenty of pockets for phone or small tools. Nice color choices and style.

Excellent Jacket
I haven't had the chance to use this in extreme weather since I have bought it after the winter season has expired. But I feel it will be my most used winter jacket. Between the style and pure weight of the jacket I can tell it will keep me warm on those very cold days and evenings when I chose to deal with the elements!!

SUPER QUALITY

Tough as Nails
This sherpa lined Carhartt jacket is everything I thought it would be and more... I ordered an XL because I am barrel chested with wide shoulders but I'm only 5'8. It fit perfectly.
I wore it outside when the wind chills were below zero in the harsh Iowa winter and I could barely feel a thing, it was like I was indoors.
The cut of the coat is nice and I like the bottom which is not tapered/cuffed, which adds a little more protection to the below the belt areas.
For the price, it is hard to beat!

Great Winter wear
As usual Carhartt brand is very good for keeping the winter weather from bothering a person when outdoors. My husband runs heavy equipment and we raise sheep, so we are outdoors much of the time. I did order a tall, because his last coat was not very long on him, so I would suggest the tall choice for most men. They are all a bit stiff, but guess that is what makes them so warm and rainproof. The hood is a real plus for us living in Indiana, where it is windy. He was very pleased with my purchase.

perfect all-around jacket
I bought this jacket for my brother after he fell in love with mine! He's 6'5" and the tall provided good coverage lengthwise. The sherpa lining is so soft (even in the pockets) and the hood works great to help block wind.

Worth the Money
This coat was a little more course and stiff than expected but it does exactly what they say it will do. It blocks the wind and keeps you warm in cold harsh weather. The sleeves are long enough for those of us who have long arms too. This is my first experience with a Carhartt and I am sure it will not be my last.

Best work/casual jacket out there!
Can't go wrong buying this jacket for any type of man. It's really soft and warm on the inside and rugged and durable on the outside. I really love the contoured back instead of being cut straight. Love it!

Excellent purchase

Best Jacket I've Owned
I was looking for a jacket to wear in a cold machine shop in MI. I tried on all the Carhartt styles in a local store and liked this one the best. I was afraid it was going to be too warm, but it is great. I am glad I went with the sherpa lined. It is so comfortable, I wear it all the time. I especially like the knit cuffs to keep snow from going up the sleeves and the waist that is not gathered.I wasn't really looking for a jacket with a hood, but I have used and like the hood with this jacket. This was my first purchase from Altrec and I will definately make furture purchases.
