great fit
These are my first Carve Design boardshorts, I've have tried other brands before and had issues with fit. These shorts fit true to size and look and feel great! Even if you are curvy, these shorts are a great fit. They sit above the hips and a re very comfortable, the length is quite nice too.

Loved These Light-Weight Board Shorts
I was very pleased with the design and fit of these board shorts. I originally ordered them in a size 10, but returned those for a size 8, which was perfect (I'm around 5'6'' and 140 lbs). I like that they are a bit longer than many women's board shorts. I also LOVED how light-weight these shorts were - very nice for traveling since they take up virtually no room to pack. One thing I'd point out is that the draw-string cord came off after the first washing - I don't think it will be difficult to re-tie, but it would have been easy to lose.

Pipeline boardies
I bought a 6 in these after scouring the size reviews and charts...I'm usuallly between an 6 & 8 but apparently I'm a 6 in Carve (5'8" and slim). They fit well, if not a little odd. Definitely slimmer in the waist/high hip than low hip/bum. When I'm wearing undies (thong) the shorts tend to give me a wedgie though they aren't tight at all. Just a weird cut. I'm assuming when I have my bikini bottoms on the wedgie-effect will diminish. (I also have another cut of Carve boardshorts and they don't do the wedgie thing at all). I bought these for paddleboarding so I don't intend on needing to move too much, as opposed to surfing, and I think these will work very well. Note, the brown/plaid piping version isn't nearly as dark brown as it appears in the pic..much softer light brown. Pretty.

Boardshorts are true to size.
I ordered one size smaller at first but had to return it for my usual size. Looks great and feels comfortable.

Cute design, weird fit
I am short wasted, but am a little curvy. I noticed in the back the shorts are almost little too low, but the front had the opposite problem.. they were too high in the front.. I wish they were a little more even. I will be returning them.

Fabric is nice and the shorts fit very well.

I really like this board short, but it does run big. I wish I had ordered one size down.
