I purchased the Chaco Belyn Baa boots after deciding my Columbia Boogawhatevers, while warm, just weren't cutting it around town. These boots have a similar footbed as my sandals and PedSheds, which is the main selling point for me. I have some plantars issues from running and these really help. The Belyn Baas are also fashion forward with a nice mix of leather and suede outers coupled with a shearling liner and sticky vibram outsole. Another plus is the laces that allow you to adjust the fit through the shaft- something a lot of boots don't offer- a snug fit in the ankle and calf. On the downside, and it seems to me a big downside- these boots lack a waterproof membrane, so I don't expect them to cut it in the snow. Back to the Columbia Boogas... They also don't feature any insulation besides the shearling liner. In all, then, these boots are comfortable, seem warm, very pretty without a lot of the cheapy chotchkis, but are probably lacking in the performance dept. Lacking a waterproof liner, they're probably just for show.
Pros: everything else, Cons: no waterproof membrane, ditto, sameChaco Women's Belyn Baa Vibram Burly Snow Boots Photo
