My 'go-to' summer shoe!
April 29, 2010
Placed order on Monday. Was wearing my new shoes by Friday. My first pair lasted for over 10 years. The fit is incredible, the warranty is just as good.
Just right for my narrow foot

After a bit of adjustment as per instructions, these shoes are wonderful! The arch support is top notch as is foot control. I needed a cool (in both senses of the word) sandal to use for my walking and hiking and this fits the bill very well. They are cute to top it and are not heavy in the slightest. There is no pronation, no slipping, just great back and leg support. Thanks!
Outstanding

Amazing service from Altrec. Chacos have great fit and the sole bites the ground to hang on through all kinds of terrain. Excellent piece of back country and water footwear.
I was very pleased with my purchase

these sandals are absolutely amazing! so comfortable, durable, and waterproof. i worked at a camp driving boats this summer, and they absolutely saved me when i would go from the swim platform, where water would be splashing up to my ankles, and jump back into the boat- i never had to worry about slipping. i would absolutely recommend these, totally worth the price!! they do run big; i normally wear about a 7.5 women's, and my size 7 chacos fit perfectly.

I bought these Chacos for my 13-year-old daughter for Christmas who had begged for a pair since returning from camp this past summer. They are very popular with the 13-16 year-old group. They have very good arch support and fit securely on her narrow feet with the adjustable velcro strap. I love that they're practical yet stylish. Even though they're very popular right now, I don't think they're so trendy as to be "out" anytime soon-- particularly with the almost $100 price tag! I got the black Chacos over the blue or green ones because they go with everything.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Cons: Costbest shoes on this and any other planet. !!!!!!

I wear these shoes even in 18 degree weather. I sometimes secretly wish it would never snow (not really, cause i snowboard) just so i could always were these. I'm wishing for the paradox Chaco's for Christmas to wear with socks. SANDALS AND SOCKS ARE SO AMAZING. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a pair of these sandals 3 years ago. They have been the best walking shoe I have ever had! They look good too! They are the only shoe I can walk in!!

I'm a 7.5, so I ordered a 7 and a 8. The 7 initially fitted perfectly when I thought the 8 was too loose, but after wearing it for a week, I started to get a "burn spot" on top of my big toes (where the two straps cross), and the side of my foot by my pinky toe (where the outside straps comes up). I switched to the 8, and it's much better after wearing these for a couple weeks. I have to cinch it down a little bit more, but my feet are very comfortable. More importantly, the arch support is still aligned under my feet. I got the Unaweep over the Yampa for durability. It's not as "clunky" as I was expecting, which made me very happy. I love having foot support during the summer weather when it's too hot to wear shoes, and sandals are too flimsy. They are great on trail with a light day pack as well as in the city. I don't run slowly anymore darting for a bus because my toes are gripping my sandals.

Nice, but not for me

These sandals seem well-made and have great arch support, but I have feet that are slightly wide and the shoe is perhaps best for narrow feet. As a result, the main non-adjustable strap on the sandal cut into the top of my foot. I had to return them.
extremely comfortable

got my sandals within the week of ordering them; super comfy and light, great for working around water.
Pain-free sandals
April 19, 2011
This sandal is very comfortable and give your feet a very good arch support. I have used it for my regular walk of 4 miles every other day the last 2 weeks and I am still pain-free. I usually wear a 6.5 on shoes but on chaco I have to get the size 8 which fits perfectly. I decided to get the size 8 instead of the 7 since I will be using this on riverbeds and I want to protect my toes from the rocks sharp edges. It's a little bit expensive for a sandal but I love the color/design of chili and for someone who has plantar fascitis, walking pain-free is priceless.
