Good But Not Great
January 08, 2013
I have been a longtime fan of Clarks footware especially so because of the great comfort they provided -- these boots, though well-made, just do not provide that famous comfort. They are constructed with triple stitching along stress points and double pull straps and are quite stylish; however, the sizing, which was never a problem with previous Clarks, is tricky here. I normally wear a 10M in a boot but found my feet swimming in the first pair of these boots -- returned them for a 9 and, though that satisfied any length issues, I still found them tight in the toebox -- something I had never encountered in a Clarks. I was loathe to return them and have been working to stretch the toebox, and it has helped immeasurably. So, bottom line, I recommend these with a caution to watch the sizing with these good, but not great, boots.
