Petzl Dartwin Sidelock Crampon:
A front dual-point design for ice and mixed climbing, the Petzl Dartwin Sidelock Crampon is for those who prefer the added stability and holding power of two high performance front points. The dual-point points are backed up with secondary points that have generous teeth, and they sport a third row of inclined points in the rear for back stepping. The standard wire toe bail accommodates boots with a toe welt, and a rear side lock allows for a variety of boot heel welts. The front section is replaceable if you wear the originals down to dull nubs, and the two front points are slightly offset to enhance a variety of stable positions. Although these crampons are designed for the steep stuff, they manage moderate terrain equally well. In a nutshell the Dartwins are precise, stable, technical, and easy to adjust without any tools.
