Description

When shoveling snow after an epic snow storm and dreaming about ripping the King in blower powder, the Columbia Men's Bugaboo Ski Pants keep you as warm and toasty on the way to work as in your preferred fantasy. Burned once but not twice, the you take a Wednesday mental health day and find yourself eyeing lines, while waiting for Patrol to give the snowbound Rex chairlift the go. Loading for the high-speed ascent to the top the Bugaboo Pants Omni-Tech® waterproof-breathability cancels out the wet of an icy seat, while its mid-weight insulation keeps you from getting a pins and needle butt. Sprinting from the unload platform the pants tricot lining glides easily over underlayers and articulated knee provides great mobility, as you blast by those riders less prepared. Its internal leg gaiter blocks against cold air and wayward flakes, which is especially handy when stepping into the ridgeline boot pack. The reinforced cuff guard keeps your pant legs pristine in the face of repeated ski-boot abrasion. A wintertime staple in the legendary Bugaboo series, the cold-weather Columbia Sportswear Men's Bugaboo Ski Pants always live up to the hype of a well imagined snow escape.

Very nice pants
March 03, 2012

I'm a tall guy and needed the extra length on the pants. The pants fit great. Warm but not bulky, no noise when you walk. I bought them on sale and for me it was a great bargain. And I can't say enough about the service at Altrec, they are GREAT!

Pants seem to be a great fit, great color. Can't wait to hit the slopes. Plenty of room, waist fits as sized, length is perfect. Plent of room and lots of pockets. Pricing is a major plus, as the pants are priced much higher at other retailers...

Quality. But much too baggy and large.
December 15, 2011

So the biggest reason I didn't like the product is because it is, well, huge. I'm a size 32 waist and ordered the small. The small is, according to Columbia, good to fit waist sizes 29-32. Well, it's still too big in the waist. It feels like a easy 34. Aside from that the pants are too long, going up past my naval. They are also extremely baggy and uncomfortable to walk in because the pant legs rub together. Not to mention they look ridiculous being this baggy. Besides the fitment/fashion issues the product is of high quality. Waterproof, very warm and comfortable. I really wish I was able to wear it without issues because it's really a good pair of pants. So, overall its a great product for a good price. But I guess you get what you pay for. It just doesn't fit and is hideously baggy. I give it four stars because it really is a decent item. My own fault for not researching more.

Great Pants!
December 18, 2011

Pants were awesome. I am 6' tall and 210 pounds and the fit was exactly what I was hoping for. The adjustable velcro waist is a great feature! I was concerned with the number of pockets that the pant has compared to the pants that I replaced these with. Not a problem. The pocket locations and size work just fine. Less IS better!!

Great Product
July 20, 2012

To start off....I love dealing with these people - quick, professional service and there are some true bargains to be had. I use these pants throughout wintertime for everything from shoveling snow to skiing to hiking. It performed great( with minor adjustments; I made vents where zipper vents should've been). I have worn them on the slopes in the West in both quite cold and warmer temps and they feel great ( not too thick and bulky so you can manipulate your base layer to your liking to fit the weather condition) . They have no back pockets and only one cargo pocket and no vents(?). They run on a larger side . Over all I'm very pleased with this product.

Just what you would expect
January 07, 2012

I like Columbia gear and the Bugaboo ski pants are no exception. They are well designed, comfortable, and seem to be of high quality. I am shorter so it was helpful that the ski pants come in a short version. I also used them for walking in which case the pant ends are a little wide, but it is not an issue.

Great Pants and Fit
January 04, 2012

Great buy for ski pants that come in short length and with multiple colors to select from. I'm 5' 8" and 180 lbs and the short length fits perfectly. Had a hard time finding short lengths in stores. I got the red and considering buying another color too. Very comfortable and looks cool with my Hard Mountain jacket.

Great pair of pants! They are good quality at an excellent price. However, I am 5'9 and ordered "short" and they are still about an inch too long, but it didn't matter when wearing ski boots. So, you may want to take that into consideration when you order.

Great Pant for the Money
January 21, 2012

The comfortable fleece lining and wind resistant shell combined with its superior fit make these pants a great option for a day in snow. I use these pants for winter hiking and they work great. I wore polypro pants and cotton long underwear beneath them on an approx. 15 degree night and was sweating. As far as fit goes, one of my favorite features are its side adjustment. I was nervous about buying pants online, but I simply bought for length and nearest waist and the fit is amazing. Another feature that I wanted in a ski pant that these have are belt loops. Like I've said, I use mine for hiking and I like to have a belt to hang knives and other things from. If you plan on doing activities besides skiing with them, be careful. I caught them on the edge of my saw very lightly and it left a scratch (not a tear) in the fabric. Obviously that is my error, but fair warning, if you abuse your pants, these might not last too long. But for the price, I think they are almost unbeatable.

Good pants but fits a little large
October 03, 2011

I bought these last season and found these to be my comfiest ski pants. They do size a little large but easily handled with a belt. My only complaint is that the snap button on the gaiter fell apart but I think that was a result of my abuse on the pist versus a quality issue. Its a cheap pair of pants so you can't expect them to last forever. Pros: - comfy - good pockets - snap button to loosen gaiters; handy for ski boot adjustments on the slope. - has tough material on inside ankle to prevent tears Cons: - sizes a little bigger than most - buttons not the easiest to use

Men's Bugaboo Ski Pants
January 29, 2012

I'll use these pants throughout the winter for everything from shoveling snow from the driveway to skiing. This winter's slow start has not kept me off the slopes and the pants performed great. I have worn them on the slopes in the East & West . The trip up the mountain on the ski lift was warm and comfortable. The pants do not have any ventilation zippers, may not be great for Spring skiing. No velcro on the internal leg gators or on the external lower portion of the pants. Columbia sews in an extra panel instead. They have no back pockets and only one cargo pocket. Over all I'm very pleased with this product.

Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
