Columbia Bugaboo Tech Parka
March 20, 2012
The Bugaboo Tech Parka is bit heavy, but other than that it's an excellent Jacket. It has a good appearance, and there are many pockets including one for your ipod which is very convenient.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great valueGreat Purchace

I bought this jacket on sale and I love it. The material is very high quality and also very comfortable. The omni-heat liner is great and also very water resistant. I haven't found any flaws with this jacket and it looks very cool. Columbia is the best.
Pros: Great design, Build qualityOut with old, in with the new

I purchased this Columbia jacket to replace another Columbia that is going on 7 years old. It's funny though, the style of that 7yr old jacket is more modern than the current Columbia jacket styles. That is it was, until I seen this Tech Parka - finally some style! I really like the shoulder graphic accents this jacket has! The jacket is typical top o the line Columbia. What used to be called Titanium, is now OmniTech - Taped seams, covered zipper flaps, waterproof, windproof, excellent construction. I love the snow skirt thing around the waist that allows a tight barrier to the elements and wind below your waist. There are some newer features on this jacket one of which is the inferno pocket. This is basically a front pocket lined in the new OmniTech reflective dot material. I haven't had a chance to use them with gloves, but I will say with your bare hands the OmniTech isn't the most pleasant surface. If your hand is the least bit chapped, or rough, the OmniTech will yank on that piece of skin like a handnail. Weird if you ask me, you would think this would have been a situation occuring often during product testing. I often put my bare hands in the jacket pocket to fish for some object and this really bothers me. The insulating quality of the OmniTech seems to be adequate, but I still miss the cozy fleece feeling of the interchange liner. OmniTech makes the coat thinner and a thinner, sportier cut to the jacket is nice. The new style and tape graphics on this jacket are very appealing. I am 6'1" and 170 and I first bought a Large which was way too big. I returned it to Altrec and ordered a Medium which fits, in an athletic fitted shirt kind of way.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great valueGreat winter jacket

I've had this jacket for about three or four months now. I'm 5'8" / 138lbs and I bought a large. I like my clothing to fit a bit big/baggy so I can move around and not feel restricted. A medium would be a perfect fit. I have been wearing my jacket to work and it is a very dirty/dusty environment and the jacket doesn't hang on to dirt... easy to keep clean...even in black. I've owned several Columbia "three in one" type jackets and this is my favorite. The inner jacket of the other jackets I've owned looked cheesy on their own. The inner jacket of this one looks really good by itself. The chest pocket is big enough to hold my sunglasses, a smartphone, and still have room for other stuff. It tightens up around the waist to maximize the heat retention. The inner jacket is quite as durable as the outer shell. It is not flimsy material, but doesn't seem to be sewn as well and had a couple strings I had to cut off. Other than that small complaint, I'm completely satisfied.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts foreverQuality and Quantity

The Bugaboo Tech Parka Is everthing the description says and then some! Purchased this parka after trying the lahtose parka and the Melting point and the Bugaboo has a little of both rolled into one.The 3 point zipper in liner, with omni heat and waterproofness plus the styling make this parka a great buy at a great price. It's comfort range with only a long sleeve shirt underneath is around 19 degrees, which in Chilly Philly is great! As soon as I picked it up to put it on I could feel and see the Quality put into making this parka.I'm tough on outerwear and I'm sure this parka will stand the test of time. You can also pair it up with Columbia's mens HellFire Down jacket which is 3 point and zipper in compatible for super warmth! What a Buy!! Thankyou.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, zipper in and 3 point interchagableSolid Purchase

Title says it. This is a solid purchase. Whether you're a skier or boarder, or an avid year-round backpacker, this jacket provides total warmth and keeps you completely dry. Columbia's OmniTech is brilliant, and the 3-in-1 delivers more than just a jacket. Worth every penny.

Ordered this product a few weeks ago and was a little concerned because it seemed so much thinner than a lot of winter coats. Put it to the test this morning with the temperature at 33 degrees a wind chill. Man, I was surprised how warm it was! I'll be getting a lot of use out of this coat! The design of the hood is also a plus as it doesn't keep blowing off my head like my last coat. Very happy with my purchase now. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that is does run a little snug, though not horribly so, and it could use more pockets. I'm very big on pockets.
Pros: Build qualitySo Far So Good

The omni heat feature really seems to know how warm my body needs it. Craftsmanship is excellent, I'm looking forward to some really bad weather. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I haven't really gotten to use it enough.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use
