An instant classic when it first hit the scene in 1993, the Bugaboot is back and better than ever with the addition of our exclusive Omni-Heat® membrane. Like a space blanket for your feet, it reflects your own body heat back into the boot for lightweight warmth without the need for bulky insulation. The upper is constructed with durable Nubuck and split suede leather with rustproof speed hooks for a secure fit.
Inside, comfort comes first with a contoured EVA footbed, lightweight molded midsole, and 200 grams of Thinsulate® insulation for a rating of -25º below zero. Road-hugging traction is provided by a non-marking, dual-density Omni-Grip® outsole, which is designed specifically for the demands of winter weather.

Little stiff which could loosen up with wear, back pull strap gets caught on pants, which is a little annoying; overall, nice boot. Wore in 20 degree weather; kept feet warm.Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

I just have a closet full of boots that promised to be warm and waterproof, none of them stood up to their word. These boots are great, my feet don't get cold or wet. I am an outside worker and this is the warmest and driest I have been in the 25 years of working outside.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

I have only had them for a month or so, but I have taken them hiking in the snow without snowshoes every weekend and they have been perfect. They are extremely warm and very comfortable. I have already recommended them to friends.Pros: Great design, Performance, Great value, comfort
Excellent snow boot
April 21, 2011
I used these boots for a recent snow trip. The grip was excellent, even on slippery surfaces, and the they kept me warm and dry (despite wet snow conditions). The boots are very light for their size, which really impressed me. These would definitely work as a winter hiking boot (in Northern CA where winter is often wet and mid to low 40s) as well as for the snow.Pros: excellent grip, light weight, warm, waterproof

Purchased these boots primarily for snowshoing, etc. Dogwalking in the snow with these boots is a huge plus !!! Love the features for that(gaiter hook + strap "holder",etc.). I usually wear a 111/2 went for the size 12. Fit perfect!Pros: Performance, Cons: not true to size
Love them so far ...
February 10, 2011
I have only had the boots for a few weeks, that that is why I only gave them a 4 out of 5. They are plenty warm (already used them in sub-zero temps). The boots seemed to run a half size small, so I bought a half size larger and they fit perfectly.Pros: Great design, Ease of use, Great value
Love these boots
January 22, 2011
I have had Columbia boots before that lasted forever so when they finally wore out I went right back to the Bugaboo. These are warmer than my previous pair. They need a little breaking in but seem like they will fit great. Very snowy winter this year so they have been getting a lot of use and I have no complaints.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever
Cold Weather/Waterproof Hiking Boots
January 03, 2011
Have only had these a couple of weeks & temperatute has not been below 30° F here yet, however, they are very well constructed and warm. Comfort I give a rating of good, after a little break-in period and getting acustomed to the ankle height, I expect that may improve to excellent. Most boots never fit me right out of the box due to previous foot surgeries. These boots were comfortable the first day I wore them, for six hours. Excellent grip & traction. Overall very satisfied with quality & value of this product.

This was a late season purchase and I thought I would not get to use them until next year but mother nature had other ideas... These are great boots, warm and lightweight... So glad I didn't wait until next year, I would recomend these boot to anyone who wants a quality snow boot!Pros: warm, lightweight, stylish, Cons: none yet
Great boots, Worth every penny.

I bought these on Dec 31, 2010 because I needed snow boots for when I am shoveling or just going out. I live in NYC and these arrived before the major snow storms of 2011, so these were put to the test. I had these on while shoveling in 3ft of snow for 9 hours straight and my feet were warm the entire time. They even held their ground during the ice storm and kept me from slipping many times. The construction is very solid and I love the fact that the tongue is sewn into the boot so there is no way for water or snow to get into the boot via the tongue which keeps your feet dry. On sizing, I would recommend going 1/2 size large. I am an 11 and got a 11.5 and it fits great. You could probably get a true size but I'd go 1/2 up just to be safe.Pros: warm, comfortable
Good boot if....
January 11, 2011
This is a good boot but I suspect that anyone who is bow-legged would have trouble with these. The rubber sole of the boot made contact with my ankle with every step with these boots. Due to this, I needed to return them since I was nearing a blister after about a quarter mile of walking. They are very solid and the durability looked great.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Cons: fit

This boot is warm and comfortable. When wearing this item in the snow it provides great protection. We did have to exchange and order a bigger size because the first pair were too tight.Pros: Great design
February 06, 2011
I ordered these in my usual shoe size and while they were a little snug in the toe box initially, they've since loosened up (took about two weeks). While the provided insole is not bad, a quality aftermarket insole can do wonders for your comfort. The boot is very light compared to others of the same size. I've been up to my ankles in snow, and the Bugaboot has kept my feet dry and warm. The sole is also pretty grippy. It's not like you're wearing crampons -- you're not going to want to go full speed on large areas of solid ice -- but it serves to keep my feet planted on other surfaces where previous footwear has not. Bottom line? I'm very pleased with these boots.Pros: Great design, Performance

these are the warmest and most durable boots i've owned. i wish they were cheaper though...Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Cons: Cost

After 2 years in MN I decided I finally need a proper snow shoe. These were a great price and very warm. They can be a little tight with thick socks but the inner sole is removable for a little extra room. Very happy with them, and so are my feet.Pros: Build quality, Great value
