These pants are intended for travel where the climate changes. We are going to Ireland next month and the zipoff feature will be a strong plus. I really like the way they allow for movement and yet look nice.

Was looking for a pair of convertible pants that weren't 100% nylon, and these fit the bill perfectly. On their initial outing, I wore them while hiking through redwood forests in CA, and got them wet while tramping through a dense canopy of ferns. Most of the water shed right off, and what didn't dried very quickly. The fit was excellent for hiking, and their weight and pliability didn't hinder my gait at all. I usually wear a 34 waist with a 34-36 inseam, and the medium-long size (34x34) fit me perfectly. Though it remains to be seen, the durability of the mesh pockets may be put to the test if any objects with jagged edges are carried. Overall, these pants have already exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to many more miles of hiking in them.

"I like this cargo pant alot. I bought these when they were onsale for a great discount . For that price, even if they are seconds or not to the manufacturer's quality standards, they are still great. Afterall these are Columbia pants and I've heard nothing but great thoughts of these, how well they hold up, how comfortable they are etc. Everything I've heard seems to be true so far. I have no complaints about these. I will continue to buy some outdoor clothes in Altrec. It is a good online shoping place.

I had already purchased two pairs of these pants last yr. because my husband drives the firecrew buses for the forest fires. He said he wished he had more like them ~ so, this is our second purchase!

I am very happy with these pants. They fit well, the quality is very good and I like the dark grey color. This is another very nice product from Columbia. Shipping was very fast to central California.

Exactly what I was looking for. Comfortable convertible pants, easy to zip on and off. I'm 6'2" 170lbs with a 31 inch waist so finding pants can be difficult. I ordered Long in Size Small and they fit perfect. Can't wait to order another color.

I have been looking for new "zippy pants" with a nylon/cotton blend material like these. I do not care for the 100% nylon against my skin. The grey color looks sharp, and will not show the dirt. Product is well made, and appears very durable. Fit is great, nice and loose for hiking. I appreciate the generous sized, and secure, pockets. Absorbant, elasticized waist band, and belt loops...perfect. The price is is lower than other products that offer less.
