Love these pants
April 09, 2012
Got these discounted and thought I'd try them out. They are incredibly comfortable. I've only hiked in them a couple of times, but it's like wearing sweatpants. Wish I could wear them every day. They would be perfect if they had a cargo pocket. I don't like having my wallet in my back pocket.Pros: Performance, Ease of use
Great hiking/trekking pant

These pants fit great. They have a slightyl stretchy material that has reinforcements for your rear, and also at the knees. Worn thsse on hikes in rocky terrain, and they were up for the task. They also looks pretty smart too.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance

i liked the pants, but i didnt like the way they fit around my boots they where really baggy. but they were really comfy .but there just not for me.I went hiking and they held up good , just the ankles where baggy and i dont like that in pants ,but other than that wicks ,true to size and feels great, the range in movement is awesomePros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Bad design
Nice and long
January 08, 2012
These pants are very comfortable and nice and long. The fit is right on I'm 36"W/34"L and the Large fits me perfectly. The pants have a slim, fitted profile but the range of motion is great because of the articulated stretch knees and rear. It's too soon to tell how they hold up but the fit and feel are terrificPros: Great design

I got these for travel to mountain hiking and no doubt they will work fine. These pants are exceptionally comfortable and durable. The best part is the softness of the nylon, making them as comfortable as cotton, in addition to being sturdier than most other hiking pants. Men's Dolomite Pant has it's own material skill is omnishield, it repel harmful UV rays and wick like crazy to keep cool and dry. If you want light, comfortable, durable and good price summer hiking pants, I recommand Dolomite Pants.
Good looking pants, for a good price

These pants fit perfectly well with my size; they also look great and the price is even better. I would say; however, they are a little weak for many outdoor activities which is supposedly its primary function. For winter activities I highly recommend to use a base layer. Also, the version I received from ALTREC is slightly different from the offered on the site. The reinforcement in knees and seat was made from the same color and material that the rest of the pants, so there is neither ornamental nor technical function on this. The overall is a reasonable price-quality relation, nothing beyond that.
Columbia Men's Dolomite Pant-Review
May 15, 2011
Im 53, 63, 179lb with 36 waist and 34 inseam. Ive been involved in outdoor clothing/equipment development and design since 1978. (Back when the climbing community were trunk rats, nobody ever heard of rock climbing and 5-10s were just being pushed to 5-11s AND Outside was Maria and Chinard Iron Works was still blowing smoke.) Ive been wearing climbing/hiking/trvel pants for everything from casual wear to golf to backpacking for 33 years. The Arcteryx stretch Palisades are great, but pricy. And they dont come in a darker brown/coffee or grey color. This leads me to the Colombia Sportswear Dolomite pants. These are equal to the Arcteryx in terms of style, durability and function. They are incredibly stretchy with articulated knees and a different stretch material in the knees and backside area (it looks like a stretchy rip-stop nylon). I was worried about durability but after working with my chain saws out in the woods fighting blackberry and stinging nettle for two days, I AM THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED! They clean easily and hold there shape perfectly. They fit a little large in the waist compared to others; North Face, Royal Robbins, Patagonia etc., and there really is a 2 difference in length between the 32 & 34 inseams. A very nice touch is an unobtrusive elastic hem with a small tucked away lock. Since the ankle openings are rather wide you can pull in the hem so that the pants just drape over your shoes/boots or you can crank them down on boots when you dont have gators in spring snow. For my waist and inseam the med. Lx34 fits well but a little loose for casual dress. The Mx34 fit perfectly but with no room to grow (girth wise) so I went with the Lx34 in both Major and Black. I like these so much Im ordering 3 more pairs!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, versatility

These pants are very comfortable. I spent a lot of my free time with outdoor activities and jeans are fine most of the time but, sometimes you want something that is much lighter weight wise and something that has some stretch to them. The day I recieved these pants on put on my base layer under them and went cross country skiing. I fell a few times on groomed trails and the pants held up well and because they are a wicking typ of material, that also proved useful. I think they will be great for backpacking this summer. I would recomend them to anyone.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
