Columbia Peak boot
November 29, 2012
I was a bit disappointed when the boot arrived. This seems more of a snow boot than a light weight athletic hiking boot. If you're looking for a cold weather boot, this is a solid choice. If you're looking for a year round hiking boot, I think you can do better.Pros: comfortable, warm, excellent quality construction, Cons: bulky, style is over the top, heavy, high ankle for mid boot

Great Boot for the Money
October 30, 2012
The Columbia Men's Hells Peak Outdry Hiking Boots are a great value for the money. The boot is very comfortable and keeps your feet dry & warm in wet conditions. The only flaw with the boot is the laces, too much nylon for the lace to grip tight when tied.Pros: keep feet dry & warm, Cons: need tio change lace design

I don't know why but it seems my feet sweat with heavy socks but my toes get cold with normal socks. They fit well but need to buy 1/2 size smaller. I just thought they would be warm with any sock and would probably try a different brand next time to see if they are any different. But overall they are a good boot.
