Great Lightweight Microfleece
January 01, 2012

I recently purchased the Columbia Klamath Range II from Altrec during an after-Christmas sale. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the purchase and would recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive, lightweight microfleece. I primarily use this as a replacement for a long-sleeve shirt to wear on weekends during the Seattle winter. It's warm enough to wear with just a short-sleeve shirt underneath in about 55 degree+ weather, but you'll probably want to wear another layer on top if the temperature drops any lower. I am 5'6, 145 pounds and the small fits me perfectly with a base layer underneath. I normally wear between a small and a medium depending on the fit, so I'd say the fit runs slightly large.

Pros: Great design, Great value
Comfort: 3 / 5
Durability: 3 / 5
Quality: 3 / 5

Really nice and comfortable shirt. I wear it to work as an underlayer when its cold out side. Ya it fits good. Im 175 pounds of 5'2" muscle. So I like stuff that stretches when I move. This shirt works for me.

great fleece, great weight
December 12, 2011

It is hard to find lightweight fleece, but in a lot of situations they are exactly what I want. I had one of these with me when I was recently in Europe for about a month, and I wore it almost every day. When I got back home it seemed like having only one was not enough, so I got another one. A person needs heavier weights too, but this is a great addition. It also takes up almost no room packing, or it fits easily with what you carry onto a plane, where it's also just the right thing to wear.

Have purchased Columbia microfleece in the past and just added the Klamath 1/2 zip to my collection. These are very low maintenance shirt/jackets and I like them because they are warm when you need it to be but as the day warms up they remain comfortable. I plan to purchase another couple of colors !

I bought this jacket for my friend. He lives in Irvine. He said it's the perfect weight for their cool weather. He liked the fit and said it washed well without stretching and minimal fading. Great quality item. It's awesome.

For the money, this is a great buy. Fits perfectly, without annoyingly long sleeves like most fleece tops. Soft, quick drying, and comfortable. Perfect for wearing around the house on a weekend, or for a spring hike.

Good quality but odd sizing
December 28, 2012

I have older Columbia fleece pullovers similar to this one. They have great quality & are durable. This one is no different. However, it appears that the sizing is off, at least for me. I'm 6 ft, 170 lbs. Even though my older pullovers are a large, I followed the size chart & ordered a medium. While most of the fit was good, it was a little snug under the arms, enough to bother me. I ended up sending this back & will probably try the next size up. This works great as a base or mid layer for skiing, depending on the weather.

thin

fleece is very thin, feels as thin as an airplane blanket, as a result it does not have a shape and is a little baggy

Exactly what I was looking for...
January 29, 2012

I had considered several different mid-layer fleece options before deciding on the Columbia Klamath Range II. I have always liked Columbia products. They have always been good quality products at reasonable prices. Always a good value. The Klamath Range II provides the same value I have come to expect. The fit is perfect, the finish is of high quality. I wear it as a mid-layer and it does a great job of moving persperation away from my base layer to my outer layers while staying warm and comfortable. After a day of skiing, it still felt dry and warm. A great product at a great price.

I Love Half Zips
January 03, 2012

Over the last couple of years, i seem to have developed some type of infatuation with half-zip pullovers. seriously... I don't know what it is... It has gotten out of control. I now own around 15 half zips from a wide range of brands. Merrell, Marmot, Mountain Hardware, Patagonia, Sierra Designs, Outdoor Research, Mammut, Arc'teryx, Oakley, and of course, Columbia. it still baffles me how Columbia keeps up in terms of quality and comfort with all of these other brands when they are pricing things at half of what the other brands sell them for. This pullover is now one of my favorites. It is actually a little lighter than i was expecting, but I have come to really enjoy it. Take it from a Half-Zip connoisseur of sorts... This pullover is quite a good deal.

Awesome Columbia Half Zip
October 22, 2011

This is one of the warmest and most comfortable shirts I own. I actually bought 2 in different colors so I could wear one more often. It's now fall in Wisconsin and this Columbia half zip is perfect for afternoon walks when a coat isn't needed quite yet. I have other Columbia coats, shirts sweaters etc. I have always felt the Columbia name means quality and the half zip it yet another example of this.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance
Comfort: 5 / 5
