Description

Once you reach the peak, there’s nothing better to pull out of your pack than the Columbia Reach The Peak Down Jacket for men. This lightweight down coat was barely noticeable in your pack on the way up to the summit thanks to the highly compressible, high loft 700-fill down insulation it’s stuffed with. The Tactel™ nylon ripstop shell fabric cuts the windchill fabric and is treated with an Omni-Shield advanced repellency finish to help resist light moisture and the occasional Gatorade spill. Reflecting body heat right back at you is the Omni-Heat printed silver lining that bumps up the heat factor above that of other lightweight down sweaters. Stash a granola bar in the interior pocket for the brisk hike back down the mountain, you’ll have warmth and fuel when you’re wearing the Columbia Men's Reach The Peak Down Jacket.

A fine down jacket/sweater by Columbia. Light and warm, much beyond the performance of its Hellfire down jacket whose shell is harder and heavier. True to size, nice design as well.

Great jacket

This is a great little jacket for the price. It's got full down compartments on every inch of the jacket (which also makes it a bit bulky) but definitely keeps you warm. I love the squash color for camping so i can be seen from a distance. I would definitely recommend picking one up.

need a tall
March 18, 2012

seemed like a good product but the large was too short in the sleeves and the extra large actually had the same problem, but was too loose in the torso. needs a tall size.

The jacket fits very awkwardly around the armpits/shoulders. This could have something to do with the cuffs, which have thumb holes cut into them. They are described as "comfort cuffs", but they aren't comfortable at all. They are either too tight when one's thumbs are through the holes, or too awkward when pushed up to one's wrists. Other than this design flaw, it could be a very good, light-weight jacket.

Cons: Bad design
