I like these shorts because of the great fit and looks, they are more comfortable in the heat than the ROC shorts and Altrec has great customer service. Easy purchase decision.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, good looking shorts

Very comfy short, live in these things.Great for hiking and look good enough for casual wear.Fit true too size, only problem is they wear out on both sides of the inseam long before the rest of the shorts.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: wear out on the inseam the quickest

You cannot go wrong by purchasing the Roc II Shorts!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
last of the solid hiking shorts

Columbia's ROC II shorts are solid, well-built shorts that can hold up to anything that you throw at them. I am one of those guys who wears shorts just about every day of the year and these are my "go to" shorts. They fit true to size and they don't shrink in the wash. They are also available in shorter inseams #i.e. 8 or 9 inches#, which is great if you don't like the leg of you shorts ending down past your knee.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great value, great fit!

Columbia Roc II shorts
June 25, 2012
Shorts arrived in individually sealed plastic - nice. Sturdy material and great features. I like the little handle on the side for the pocket. These shorts run just a little big in the waist, but that's a good thing. Since they're 100% cotton, they will shrink a little in the dryer. I ordered my regular size and I think after a few washings they will be perfect. I'm short - 5'5 - and the 10 inch inseam is great. Any shorter and they'd be "short shorts." I bought two pair and am planning on ordering two more. They're great to wear with casual sandals and a t-shirt.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance
ROC II Shorts
May 09, 2012
I have always been a fan of the ROC shorts. I have a pair of the ROC Ultimate shorts, and I like them but prefer the material on the ROC shorts. The ROC II seem very similiar to the ROC shorts, so I am not sure what the difference is. One of my favorite features is that it does NOT use a snap button, but a button through a button hole. The 8 inch inseam makes for a snug fit in the crotch, but I prefer that to the extra length of the shorts.Pros: Great design, Performance, Cons: not sure on quality
ROC II Rocks!

rocII shorts do not seem to be as sturdy as the original. they seem to be lighter weight and are missing some of the usefull pockets in the original. they also seem to run larger than the original
