Description

The question becomes, could they have called the Men's Columbia Ten Trail III Fleece, the 30 Trail Fleece? It's really simple math isn't it? But we digress. They could have called it the rugged, stout, utilitarian, where it everywhere fleece, but that name is a bit long. Warm, soft, wicking polyester fleece is paired with abrasion-resistant nylon packcloth for a worthy stand alone top, or mid layer when conditions deteriorate drastically. The jacket is part of the Zip-in Columbia Interchange System, so it's compatible with any corresponding shell. Two zippered handwarmer pockets provide a spot to warm chilly digits till the fire starts to roar, and a zippered chest pocket and security pocket offer additional storage. Clean, simple, unpretentious, that's what you get with the Ten Trail III Fleece for men from Columbia.

Not for the full bellied, and with tight underarms, this may be better for running. still a good product and fits into the shell system. My columbia products have lasted over one decade each, with substantial use.

Good Value
March 21, 2011

This jacket is warm, and good looking. The breast pocket is definitely a plus and the side pockets are nice and deep. Definitely a good buy. I ordered an XL (XL usually fits me just fine) and it just barely fits so it would seem they fit a touch small.

Cut Is All Wrong
March 06, 2012

This is a poorly cut jacket. The length is long although I was aware it was to be 28 inches. The lower portion is cut very large in diameter compared with the chest, shoulders and most of all the sleeves. The sleeves are cut so narrow that when you bend your arm the jacket pulls tight in the shoulders and across the back. There is no room for shirt sleeves to be worn under the jacket's sleeves. I ordered a large and am 5' 9" and 160 lbs. It was returned immediately so nothing to say regarding Pros.

Warm and for a Great Price
December 04, 2011

i ordered this jacket looking for a warm, comfortable fleece that could be taken on the trail or just on a fall or spring weekend camp-out. i got the warmth that i was looking for but the sizing is a little small. i normally wear a small but after reading some other reviews on the sizing i went with a medium and i'm glad i did. the other problem is that the seams on the inside of the sleeves are very... protrusive... and this causes some discomfort. although, the up-side of that is you get increased durability. this is only an opinion and if your looking for a warm jacket for a good price then this may be the one for you.

Pros: Build quality, Great value, Cons: Bad design, extra material on seams

Very tight sleeves. Cuts off arm circulation if you wear a thick shirt. Wind protection only on sleeves, so your arms are the real protection for wind. Soft. Has a zipper for reversible use. Inside is not finished for reversible use. So zipper is always going wrong way.

Pros: soft, Cons: Bad design
Comfort: 4 / 5

I do not expect a product like this to last forever, but this product has worn well. Like the zippers-great for keys not getting lost, etc. All these products are likely made in the same factories, but Columbia does an excellent job on design.

This fleece jacket keeps you warm, but it's kind of loose and not what I expect. But it looks nice and can resist wind if you use your arms.. Anyway, a good choice for the price

Arms to small
January 25, 2012

I love Columbia gear I have alot of clothing from them so i was looking forward to my purchase of the trail 3 fleece and for there prices you can't go wrong. Unfortunately the arms for a double xl are way to small and am contemplating returning if you have decent size arms wouldn't recommend.

Pros: Great value, Cons: Bad design
