Columbia Quality
October 25, 2010

Pants are of the typical high Columbia quality: well-made, functional and they look good.Secret pocket a nice touch. Thought the mesh lining to pockets would give, but have put them through fair amount of use and they are in great shape. belt is flimsy, but need to understand neede thin belt for pack belt. Pack down compact.

Excellent pant
February 12, 2011

I ordered the Large size and it fit my 35 in waist perfect. If you are 37 in or over you might need the next size up. The pant is a very good quality and fits very nice. I wear a 30 inseam which is a short and the length is perfect. The ample supply of pockets will come in handy when I travel. I plan to order another pair soon.

Even better than advertised
January 11, 2011

The description does not do these pants justice. First of all, the two zippered pockets provide the perfect amount of security for cash/wallets/valuables while in areas prone to pick-pocketing. Second, these pants are extremely thin and lightweight. If you roll these pants up and pack them tight, I estimate a volume of 550 to 650 cubic centimeters. Wonderful, wonderful pants, even for the price.

Great pants
March 24, 2011

I own several pairs of Columbia pants that I use or fieldwork. They are great for cool and hot weather. Inseam length ran a lil long compared to other Columbia styles. Love the zipoffs for varying field conditions. Very durable material. Yet to tear trekking through Manzanita in the Sierras!

Pros: Performance, Cons: none

Light weight & great fit. Should be excellent for travel

Men's Titanium Omni Dry....Silver
January 06, 2010

I bought a pair of these pants for my husband. They are so versitile, lightweight and extra comfortable. He loves the fact that he can unzip them and wear as shorts. The fit is excellent for him.

Great pants
April 15, 2010

Nice pair of pants. I've always worn the larger size, which was a little on the baggy side. So, this time, I bought the smaller size, but was a little snug for my taste. Still fits well, but a little restrictive on the room. If you're like me, and between sizes, I recommend the larger size. Great quality pants though.

Great Convertible Pants. They are his favorite pair of pants
June 29, 2010

My husband enjoyed his convertible pants. He bought 2 pairs of the same pants locally 3 years ago and still wear's them. I thought he should get a new one, and he is very happy that I did purchase the same pant. I will be buying one more in July for his birthday.

excellent - back for more
May 05, 2010

These are great pants for outdoor summer gardening for us. Very light weight, fast drying and added bonus of sunscreen. When the day warms up, or we are done playing in the dirt - off come the legs and time to relax in the shorts. Back for a few more pairs...

Very comfortable and high quality.
September 07, 2010

Really like the zipper pockets and the fabric does dry quickly. I've worn these pants on a five day backpacking trip and found them to be durable and extremely comfortable. I would definitely purchase them again.

These pants are great
June 20, 2009

I have about five pairs of these and they are fantastic. Comfortable with enough room. Light and cool even in the summer. I like them for the lake because I can wear them to avoid the bugs and still not be too hot.

Nice Hiking Pants
September 28, 2010

Took this pants on two week-long alpine hikes and these performed well. Breathe well. Dry fast. The fit is a bit on the long and loose side. So if you are between sizes, take the smaller. Nice pants. Recommend it.

Poor quality

I usually get North Face but decided to give Columbia a try and save some money. After wearing these for about an hour, the button came off?! Back to my trusted brand that has never done anything like this.

Cons: Poor quality

Great Pants
July 20, 2010

The length is proper, the fit is great, and the convertible function is a must. These are a great, versatile pair of pants.

April 29, 2010

Fits nicely. My husband loves it.

Fast drying and light weight
April 09, 2010

No 5 stars from me because anything can be improved. I have 2 pair and I use them for everything outdoors and travel. Nice enough to wear around town. Easy to pack and light weight. I am about 6' tall and 165 pounds and medium/32 fits great. Zippered pockets keep small items from falling out. The belt is a little long and could possibly break but no issues yet.

en's Titanium Omni-Dry Silver Ridge II Convertible
February 08, 2011

The pants are great. They are cut a little tight. There is not much wiggle room for a size. I will buy a size larger than Inormally do to get a looser fit. Love the extra pockets, etc.

August 18, 2010

I love these convertible pants I am buying a second pair

Great fit
March 09, 2010

These pants are extremely light weight and versatile. Great cut too, not too baggy, yet comfortable and give you room to move. I'm 6' and 180lbs and M/32" fits perfectly. The shade color does look like it's part of a SWAT team uniform though. Legs zip off right above the knee, which might make them shorter than usual shorts.

So Light, Dry, yet strong... incredible pants for traveling
September 03, 2009

I bought my first Columbia Omni-Dry shorts in an outfitters in Telluride, and they performed so well I ordered these convertible pants when I got home. Not only great for hiking, but also for everyday use. Pack very easily... what's not to love about them? And the Altrec discounted price really helps too!

December 26, 2010

Bought these for the man on the list and ended up buying 2 more pairs since he LOVES them! He says they are the most comfortable pants he has ever had!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

Light weight, look great
April 07, 2010

These are the first convertible pants I've ever worn that are just as comfortable and functional as regular shorts or pants. I think I could even wear them to the office.

Great fit for woman too
April 15, 2010

I am a woman and these trousers were recommended to me in London, where I live. They are the best-fitting safari trousers I had on my trip to Africa. I am currently in the States and have bought a second pair. So, all in all a great fit even for women!

Nice pants.
May 17, 2010

Good fit. Lightweight. Dries quick. Look's cool.

Light weight - fits true to size
March 29, 2010

Great idea to be able to take one pair of pants which also converts to shorts. Easy to pack.

Good pant for any activity outdoors
February 03, 2010

I wear these pants while hiking, riding bikes, and sometimes running. The "convertibleness" is a pretty nice option particularly in the spring and fall when the early morning is cool and warms up as the day goes on.

Seems good, feels great
June 22, 2010

I know that these pants are super-comfortable; I don't yet know how durable they are. One person said they are not as strong as some of the others, but I love how they feel, so we'll see...

Pants are extremely comfortable. They were great to wear during a long Texas hike. They do soak in water, but they dry very quickly. I appreciate the zippered pockets for the wallet and one on the right hip. Glad to know I won't loose my keys crawling over a log. Another plus is they can take up very little space when rolled up and packed. I'll probably be buying another pair soon. Looking forward to some more hikes in them.

Pros: Build quality

Super light, durable and comfortable.
October 30, 2009

A very comfortable trail pant which is light weight and durable. Size fits well Im a 6.1 footer 88kg got a L 34inseam. And you can fold it into small folds, minimizing space.

Great fit - light material
April 21, 2010

The fabric was not the typical nylon with no character. It is lightweight but has some texture. Fits just as you would expect

Hard-To-Beat For Trail Use
October 04, 2009

great pants
June 18, 2011

I use pants for working outside and they are excellent..If you do get too hot just zip the pants legs off.I like my first pair so much i bought three more pairs...

Great feel, nice fit
April 21, 2010

Bought these pants because I like the feel of the fabric much better than a straight nylon - makes the pants very comfortable. They also fit great and when converted to shorts aren't too short like other brands can be. Only complaint is the belt - could not be any cheaper and is not secured to the pants so it always ends up alone at the bottom of the washing machine.

Good for spring and summer
April 27, 2009

Decent pair of pants. The fabric is very thin and light, it breathes well and dries fast. They feel like you are wearing running pants. I was looking for something alittle thicker, but they are still good pants anyway. My only compaint is that the legs are a bit wider than it looks in the pictures, I was hoping they would be somewhat tapered. Also, I bought them in Sage color, thinking they were as dark as the picture, not the case (should have gotten Tank instead). There are many pockets (two of which are zippered). Overall a good pair of pants, which is why I decided to keep them anyway.

A Must for your next Cruise!
December 03, 2009

I purchased two pair of Titanium Omni-Dry Silver Ridge II for my cruise to the eastern Mediterranean . I wore a pair most of the 12 days. They are PERFECT! They go from your pack or suitcase to (wear) without ironing. On shore excursions to they are great because the weather is so changeable. It was hot at the Pyramids, rained in Athens, and was both (hot and rainy) in the same day in Rome. They were also very functional for casual days at sea. When on deck you can lose the lower legs and sit poolside. They are also great as lightweight lounge wear around the house. Best pair of zip offs, I have ever owned.

light weight, very comfortable

light weight, very comfortable

good pants for hiking
September 02, 2010

very comfortable on a long haul hike in cool weather, ideal for hot weather. the fabric is very comfortable. i actually felt the sizing was a little off in the inseam but otherwise perfect.

One pair does all. Columbia knows outdoor needs
June 09, 2009

This pant/short is the ultimate in versatility. Very well fitting, light and fast drying. Good looking style and function even to wear as casual to work. The side elastic is small and does not bunch or roll.In fact, you do not even know it is there as compared to other pants with elastic. I am a 32' waist so went with the MED and it fits comfortable but not too loose. The 10" short inseam is a nice long length. I will buy another pair.

Great fit and comfort

Great pant for all seasons
December 26, 2010

This is my second purchase of these pants: in summer they're cool and protective for hiking; cooler still, when the bottoms are zipped off. There is yet another use: when it gets cool just wear a capilene layer underneath and you're warm enough for below normal temperatures in FL! They wash well and dry quickly and look the same as when they were new.

December 11, 2010

I like these to play disc golf in. I live in the Pacific Northwest and especially during the winter it's nice to have a pair of these pants because they dry so quickly, are very comfortable, and do not restrict my movement. I would definitely recommend these convertible pants for year round outdoor activities.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use

Hmmm not bad
April 17, 2011

Nice pants. Good price as I dont mind last years models. Size is a bit small, but I do have alittle extra winter fat that seems to disapear in the warmer months so it will fit just fine. Havent tired them on the trail, but have wore them around the house and even got the wet on purpose to see how fast they dried, they seem to dry really fast. For the price they cant be beat if this is the type of pants you are looking for. Oh they weight about 11 ounces.

Pros: Great design, Great value, Cons: a bit small

Great pants & excellent fit
June 21, 2009

The Silver Ridge II convertable pant has a very good fit and it's cool to wear on hot summer days. I like the extra leg pockets plus the zipper pocket in the back is great for secure holding. I have a 32 waist and ordered the Small size with 34 inseam length and it fits great!

Great pant for motorcycle travel, camping
May 12, 2009

Very thin and light, breath well and dry quickly, which makes them good for wearing inside a "stich" suit or overpants. Zippered rear right pocket and security right front pocket give lots of storage for "can't lose" items. They come with a thin nylon belt, but have full size beltloops to use something sturdier. Very good for when I just want to use chaps. Legs zip off easily, but don't have expansion zips at the bottoms to clear boots. Shorts feel very light and cool, and zips don't irritate my legs. Good pant, good value, I bought two pair.

Comfortable, good looking hiking pants
September 03, 2009

Bought this second pair because I liked the first one so much. Very comfortable, nice fit, and not too baggy. Colors are good and I like the fact that it has two back pockets, some other brands did not.

Excellent Pants, just what I was looking for
May 26, 2009

I just wore these up to the boundary waters and they were perfect. The shorts fit like normal shorts; not like the zip off shorts that look like officer Dangle on reno 911. Also, they are extremely comfortable and aren't too baggy. Well worth the price. After a weekend's worth of abuse the convertible pants are still rocking and look like brand new.

Excellent Pants
December 15, 2010

Very happy I ordered these pants before my vacation they are light and comfortable and were not hot to walk around in then very easy to convert into shorts and were great in the water and dried quickly. Also the zipper pocket was great to keep my valuables safe and secure.

Pros: Great design, Performance, Ease of use

Comfort like no other convertible pants
July 04, 2009

The fabric is softer than other pants I have tried. The other brands you noticed that there was a zipper where the shorts zip off....On the Titanium convertibles by Columbia you feel like you are wearing pants not a zip on/off....For that reason alone I think these are a cut above....also they don't have the zipper at the bottom of the pants leg....that is good for someone shorter like me who will need to have them shortened.....Of course then you might have to take your shoes or boots off when you make them into shorts....but for me not having that feature was a plus...

Very light and comfortable
November 12, 2009

I love these convertible pants. It is very easy to zip the pant legs on and off. Fit great, I'm 6'0, 160 with a 32 inch inseam and the Medium was perfect for me. I think the belt that comes with them is unnecessary.

excellent hot weather pants
May 28, 2010

These pants are so cool in the heat that I often don't bother taking off the legs. They seem well-constructed so far, and have a good fit to them (a lot of the other brands/models I tried had really tapered legs). Would definitely recommend.

Great shorts! Decent pants
December 19, 2010

I love these shorts! I bought them last year and have used them on a few separate occasions. 1. was 3 day trip to lake Powell where I wore them as a swimsuit and all around, they dried fast! and were comfy, no chaffing! 2. I have worn the shorts on a few day hikes and they are so comfy with plenty of pockets! 3. A multi day trip around Cottonwood canyon, they were great as shorts during the day! and at night when it got chili again they were fun pants! a little baggy though for me overall. I have the sage color and wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to anyone!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance

Lightweight, easy clean, very durable
September 29, 2009

Freedom of movement is great. Can wear to dinner or hiking in the woods. Wore them through thorny bramble which left no trace or damage of any kind. Remarkable.

My Husband Loves These
June 30, 2010

Bought one pair of these for my husband last year. He loves the lightweight feel and comfort. I love how easy they are to wash and dry. They are wonderful for travel and everyday wear. I had to buy more pairs for him this year.

Great outdoor gear
May 05, 2010

light material, drys quickly, has more zippered pockets than most other brand name convertible pants and comes with a belt unlike other brand name convertible pants; for as light as the material is, it holds up well in rugged conditions.

Five Stars
March 23, 2010

Par for the course. Perfect fit. Good for athletics or for casual wear. This is my husbands third pair and he couldn't be happier with them.

like em
August 25, 2009

I purchased these pants because my waist size is 31 and it's almost impossible to find pants that fit. However "small" in these pants are for waist sizes 29 to 32 and these pants fit perfectly. They fit good, washed up great and everything functions properly.

Careful with Sizing
July 04, 2009

Great pair of pants/shorts! Very light and can be worn even on warmer days without converting to shorts. Be careful with the waist sizing on these pants. I'm 6'1", 195 lbs and wear a 34 or 35 size waist in most if not all pants. I decided to go for the Med, 32" inseam at first. Inseam was great but had to return the pants because of the waist.....Large ended up fitting perfect. Moral of the story....size up if you're on the cusp of two different sizes. Tightening your pants is easier than losing weight. Enjoy!

comfy quick dry pack light
September 21, 2009

Took these on a 2 week train/hike around Italy, sink-washed well, dried by next day, and held up to sitting on rocks and backpack rub. I have 2 pair and still love them, not too baggy like a pair of rei convertibles I got that pilled up that will be returned.

Perfect for hot weather, and for keeping the bugs away.
May 30, 2010

These convertible pants are lightweight and comfortable. You can bunch them up and fold them in your bag, and the wrinkles fall out naturally after wearing them for a short time. The pants were great in Costa Rica where they protected me from rainforest insects. The pant legs zip off, leaving a pair of shorts that are cut right above the knee. My wife loves how these shorts look on me, and I wear them as shorts 90% of the time. I like them so much, I bought them in 5 different colors!

Amazing fit!!
June 15, 2009

I have been looking for a decent pair of backpacking pants for literally 10+ years. I have tried MANY. I hated all of them. Bad fit, to short, to hot. then i got these. WOW amazing fit (no balloon pants here) I am a tall guy I got the medium with 34 length. I held my breath till they arrived. tried them on and was really pleased!! These are by far the best pair of these i have ever found. I am buying more!! By the way customer service was quick by email and very accommodating. (minor shipping issue which was quickly resolved)

Perfect for traveling as well as outdoor activities
September 29, 2009

My second pair - I got the first ones for kayaking to have pants for cool mornings then switch to shorts as the day warms up. Wanted the Omni-Dry fabric. Perfect pants! When traveling, I pack light, so these effectively double my wardrobe (shorts / pants) as well as pack very compactly.
