I am a homemaker and was looking for an inexpensive and comfortable vest that I can wear at home and this vest fits the bill. I weight 5' 2" and weight 93 lbs and the xs fits comfortably.

The Columbia Benton vest is just the right amount of warmth leaving the arms free to move. Armholes are not tight and the fit is ample--not tight. Not sure of durability. I have an older vest of the same brand that's over 10 years old and it is still in good shape and no pilling.

I bought this fleece vest because I had only one (in black) and wanted another in white. The old one I have is from a different company and is decent enough but when I received the Columbia: Women's Benton Springs Vest and tried it on I was so thrilled. It fits better in that it is longer and gives some added warmth to my lower-back area. It is very attractive, and with all the items I have bought from Altrec for the winter, I am able to wear them working outside in the yard/woods or out in public. They are durable and attractive items. Soft, warm, and fits perfect. Definitely will order more in other colors...

It's soft and light. But not warm enough. And it's a little loose for me. The temperature outside is about 20 degree. It's comfortable to wear it, especially in spring and fall.

Mid-weight, mid-warmth and moderatly tapered. Fits well under a jacket or over base layer. Fits true to size. Appears well made. Haven't worn it long enough to address durability.

We found the vest to be of great quality and love the colors! We bought the vests for the nurses at our hospital and everyone was pleased with them. We are having them embroidered with our hospital logo and the Columbia vest work well for that. They are a good weight to be worn inside while working.

I really like the two vest that I recieved. They are both made well and I like the colors. I probably well buy more colors later. I also love the zippered pockets for placing my keys in, and it fits perfectly with a sweater underneath. Not to tight just right, perfect for my long winter walks. So, yes I would buy these again.

The Benton Springs Vest that I received has become my favorite piece of layering. The fit is fantastic and flattering and I LOVE the color, Sea Salt. I'm tempted to collect some of the other yummy flavors, I mean colors. I find I don't want to take this off when I get home since I keep my house on the cool side. I love how I can stay warm enough when layered under a thin rain jacket. I'm 5'3, 135 lbs, bust 36 and the small fits perfectly over other baselayers.

This is such a great product, I gave one to my Mom for Christmas. It is the perfect weight to keep you warm indoors, but not overly hot. I love the soft, high quality fleece this is made of. I will buy another one of these vests.

I purchased two a while ago and loved them so purchased two more again. Love the fit and the quality. The abundance of colors is very good. They are very femine in the line of bust and waist...like the zipper pockets...makes a smooth fit.

I purchased this vest online and never seeing it in person made me nervous. Nonetheless, I really, really like it. It is feminine looking and is cut very nicely. It is not boxy as some vest can be. I found the sizing to be just right too. I would definitely recommend buying this vest!

The vest is very comfortable and lightweight but very warm. I feel it runs a little big. i would definetly purchase another in a different color for my daughter.

It is a good product with choices of nice colors. only complain i have is the sleeve cut which is too deep for winter. prefer more straight cut. Comfort is average.

I wanted a good quality outdoor vest to use as an additional layer under my jacket. This isnt it. Its a piece meant to be worn for casual use, with a "girl" cut. And the fleece has that nails on chalkboard feeling that makes me wonder how well it would wear. But since I returned it, I cant address that issue. If you are looking for a feminine vest for casual wear, you may like it, but its not what I was looking for.

very nice! like it a lot. I ordered this one a few days before BF. Then I found a similar one in outlet during the BF, I was quite disappointed to see it and thought about I may want to cancel my order. But when I got it and I sctually think the quality is better than the one I saw in outlet and I really like it.

The vest is well made and fits through the waist- but it is just TOO SHORT for my body (I am 5' 8" tall). Would only recommend for someone at least two inches shorter...

I have purchased Columbia fleece vests for the last four years from Altrec. This year I purchased three and then saw a new color I liked so I ordered a fourth vest. This is what I wear all winter long. They look sporty. They fit well. They launder well and hold their shape. The price is right and there is always an abundant variety of colors. I really like this product. They don't wear out, my friend is wearing the vests I ordered four years ago.

Fits true to size if not a little large. (I have a 35" chest & 27" waist and the small fits really well with room to spare.) The fabric extremely soft, but seems thin. A good deal for the sale price though.

I bought 2 vests, one black and one a beet color. The beet color is kinda a orangish red. The perfect color for fall!! The vests fit true to size and give you that extra layer on cool mornings.

I received my columbia vest today, and I love it! The color is beautiful - I got the oxide blue, and I'm going to order a couple more in some other colors. It is cold where I work, and I like to wear them for layering. I am 5'6" 130 lb and the medium was a little big. I think I will order the small next time. I will still wear the medium though. They are generously sized.

I am usually a size 4-6 so ordered one small size and one XS size. The small size was very loose but the XS fit better and was a touch roomy which was perfect. I'd advise ordering a size down. I'm not sure whether it was the bright blue color I ordered or what but the very loose small size didn't look too unflattering. But to be safe, order down a size.

Columbia makes the best fleece fabric. It's neither too thin nor too thick, very plush and soft, and is less lint-magnetic than most. These vests run slightly small, so consider what you wish to wear under it. The neck is really tall, up to my chin, which adds to the warmth and allows you to fold it down flat in back. This vest allows me to wear an extra layer in cold weather without the bulky feeling of a full fleece sweater, and the zipper makes for such easy temperature regulation. I can leave the vest on when I'm inside, but zipped open. I bought the charcoal heather and the black cherry; both colors look beautiful and go with most anything. I wish there was a bit more shaping around the waist...but for me this has become a go-to item for 3-season wear. A great value!

I found the style too bulky for my taste. I prefer very feminine fitted vests, and thought the construction and fabric were good, I just declined. If I hadn't had a few like this I might have kept the vests. I found the colors to be a bit bright for my taste.

This vest arrived and was a great value and quality was beyond expectations. However, it was too large. I'm typically a small, but like my outerwear a bit large, but this was too large.

This vest fits and looks good. I have a hard time finding vests that look good since I am heavier and this vest is not bulky. I got the mud color-love it and the shimmer. Light weight-good for layering or alone on cooler days.

I purchased this vest mainly because of the beautiful black cherry color to go with a black shirt. It keeps my body warm without the bulk of a fleece jacket. However it is not as fitted as I'd liked to so I have taken it in a bit at the waist and now it's more flattering. It's a good length, even in size small. It has the quality you expect from Columbia and the price is attractive.

The vest runs large. The arm holes in particular seem oversized. I expected the fleece to be heavier. It was a bit flimsy. I expected it to be of better quality.

Love these vest simply can't go wrong, great for work or everyday. The size is true and they are just so comfortable. I have three of them. All thought I would love to have one in popcicle hopefully they will get more sizes in that color. All I can say is I love love love them!!!!!

I believe I own just about every color ever made in these columbia vests..about 30 between the sky vest and benton springs as well as fern creek....i do love this one the most it makes my waist look especially small...due to the pocket and seam placement...love love love it...i wish they had even more colors to choose from....keep them coming columbia!!!

I purchased the vest in 2 colors- mud and charcoal. I love the vests. Not too heavy or light in weight. Liked the fit. I ordered Large and in my opinion it runs average. I would highly recommend this vest.

This vest is lightweight- My house is usually on the cold side- I love to wear it indoors over one or two thin layers and under a jacket for outdoors. The shape is comfortably fitted which I like. I usually wear a small/medium and a small fits me well. I ordered a gray one and one in tarte- love both colors.

I bought two of these vests - one for myself and one as a gift. I read in other reviews that the vest runs a little large. Now that I have mine (a medium), I would agree. But it doesn't swallow you whole. The quality seems excellent, and the whole (Black Cherry) is a wonderful blend of burgundy and purple. As far as durability goes, well, I've owned the vest only two weeks, so it's hard to say. But Columbia products have always served me well.
