Description

Because mean streets are usually meanest in the middle of winter, Columbia's Ez Does It 2 Snow Boot gives women plenty of support, traction and insulating warmth. The combination leather and nylon upper is waterproof and styled with a faux fur cuff. Unlike traditional snow boots, the laces on these Ez Does It 2 boots have a bungee elastic closure system that facilitates easy entry and faster exits--so it's a great design for commuters who find themselves frequently late while running out the door. Columbia added a contoured single-density footbed to the Ez Does It 2, but you can easily replace it with your own custom foot inserts. Compared to most snow boots, the Columbia Ez Does It 2 is slightly lighter and potentially easier to wear on long walks, but it's also comfort rated to -25F instead of -40F.

These boots have it all!
December 26, 2010

I needed a taller snow boot - but not too tall - and thought I would give these a try. So glad I did! They are extremely comfortable, toasty warm and insufferably cute. Haven't used them in the snow yet (just so happens we're in the midst of our first real snow storm today) so it looks like I'll be able to see how they are in snow real soon. My daughter took one look and fell in love with them, so I might surprise her with a pair. Don't hesitate to get these boots, they're great!

Good Looks and Functional
January 12, 2011

Pleasantly surprised by this boot. The design and workmanship is excellent. They are warm and have a stylish appearance. The big PLUS for me, a person with both hips replaced,....they are light weight, but warm and they are easy to put on and take off. I need to run an errand, or slip on for any reason, there's no fussing, no struggle, BAM....they're on. They do run large. I wear 8 to 8.5 size shoe and a Size 7 fits me in this boot.

LOVE THESE
December 04, 2010

I got these in the white color and have been wearing them a lot with skinny jeans since it has gotten cold. They are very comfortable if you like a minimalist interior, and I have gotten several compliments on them by strangers. Order a half to whole size smaller than you would usually wear. I usually wear an 8 or 8.5 and 7.5 fits me best in these.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use

Lightweight, soft, spacious-these shoes are will be perfect for a Madison winter. The sizing is accurate, if not a little large-appropriate for big wool socks. The quality is fantastic and the upper fur lining is extremely soft. Most surprising, the shoes are lightweight!! The only downside for me was the stud detail that is not highlighted in the picture. But overall these shoes seem perfect for any use:)

Great Boot, but runs LARGE!!!
March 01, 2011

My feet are not wide, nor narrow, but they are a slender average. I normally wear an 8 1/2 in Merrell, Keen, Sorrell, etc. I ordered these in an 8 1/2 and whoa! They are really big! Was delighted to have a little width, as this comfortably accommodates a heavier sock with out constriction, but they were at least a whole size too large/long! I wanted to exchange for a 7 1/2 but Altrec was out of stock, so I am sadly sending them back :( They look great with jeans, leggings, tights, everything casual. I obviously did not wear them outside so I cannot comment on durability or water protection. The unknown and the large fit prevented me from giving an honest 5 stars. They are really warm and comfortable and I will be looking for them again in a smaller size next winter! I am sadly returning them, so if you are usually a 9 1/2, get these large 8 1/2s, they are awesome!

Comfy and Warm
December 16, 2010

The minute I put these boots on I was in heaven. Just started snowing today so the speedy delivery was right on time. So lightwieght and easy to pull on and a snap to lace. I want these in all colors. I wear an 8 and that is what I ordered and they fit perfectly. I will definately order from Altrec again!!

EZ doesn't
January 22, 2011

I lliked that these were lightweight. I usually wear an 8-8.5 so I got 8.5 but they were way too large. I also didn't like the elastic pull ties. They were more difficult to get tight than the usual strings - took two hands and coordination to work correctly. I was afraid they'd eventually break from the pulling. Warmth was OK - didn't seem to get good traction on slippery surfaces as well as I thought they should. Seemed well made but not what I was looking for.

The boots look good, fairly warm, great price. The only problem I had was that they were too tight at the beginning,I even had blisters:( After getting Dr schloss socks, they streched considerably and now fit just fine.

Pros: warm, Cons: little tight

Kickin' Boots
March 20, 2011

These boots are super cute and warm. Although it hasn't snowed again since I got them, I have worn them on 30 degree days and was pleased with how warm my feet were. But, I haven't had the chance to wear them in colder weather, yet, but am looking forward to next winter. They seem well made and should last a while. These boots just replaced a pair I had for 5 Michigan winters, so I expect my boots to last a while, and I see these as a good investment. They do run small; I usually wear size 8, and based on others' reviews, I ordered the size 7, which fit me perfectly with room for heavy socks. I was looking for light weight boots and these fit that requirement. I was tired of big heavy boots that feel like walking around with concrete blocks on my feet--these are definitely not concrete blocks. They feel more like shoes than boots. My only negative is that the outer material (which covers the inner insulation) seems a little weak. I noticed a very, very small tear after only a couple times wearing them. I don't think this will affect the warmth, but I hope I don't get other tears.

Pros: cute, warm

Nice pair of boots
December 17, 2010

I got these in black. They are very light and have a lot of foot room. I'm not suppose to wear pointy shoes and I use orthothics so these boots fits the criteria. They are comfortable and does not feel like you have ankle weights on.

Careful on the size, otherwise a good buy!
January 22, 2011

I just got these boots and tried them on; I love everything about them except that the left one was not fitting my foot, so I have to return them. I had read all the reviews in advance, that they run large so you need to get a smaller size, that is way I got a smaller number which apparently was too small. So, order at your own risk from that point of view. The look, the quality, the lightness of the boots make me really want them. Can't talk about durability since I haven't actually used them.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, light on your feet, look good, Cons: sizes mismatch

Wish they were warmer.
December 19, 2010

The boots are great as long as I wear very thick or even wool socks. The description states "serious cold weather protection". My toes were numb walking around on pavement with only slush in 18 degree weather. Living in Germany I hoped for much more warmth. However, they are comfortable, keep the feet dry and are very easy to move around in. Feels similar to wearing tennis shoes. Not bulky at all and provide GREAT traction!

Pros: Great design, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: not warm
Comfort: 4 / 5
Durability: 4 / 5

i am usually a 7.5. i got these boots in 6.5 and they fit alright and there's even room for wool thick socks. the only down side is that they do not provide any arch support so i had to buy an arch support insert and now they are very comfortable. i've used the boots in the snow and they kept my feet dry. so i think they were a good buy.

Pros: Ease of use, good traction, Cons: no arch support
Comfort: 5 / 5
