Compliments everytime
March 15, 2010

I own this jacket in Patina and I LOVE it! It's so comfy and the color is beautiful. The cut is athletic and feminine, which is a refreshing surprise from Columbia. I am 5'10 and so the long arms are wonderful!

Nice jacket
March 22, 2011

Love this hoodie - but I think it runs a but small. Unfortunately I cut the tag off before I tried it on, so I will just have to deal with it being snug. I ordered a small and wish I ordered a medium

Women's First Traverse Fleece Hoodie
June 30, 2011

The fleece was delivered in a very timely manner. The color is great. The sleeves were a perfect length to utilize the hand warmers. The fleece definately sheds wind and rain like a champ, dries quickly, and is snuggly warm. The fabric is also very comfortable. Great product would definately recommend purchasing. I am 5' 5'' and 110 pounds and the small fits perfectly.

Pros: Great design, Performance, Great value

Great jacket
March 24, 2010

Nicely made jacket. I purchased the Patina and think the color is great. I can wear it to work on casual Fridays, when running errands, walking, and hiking. I thought it was a little small, but it still fits OK. I bought the X-tra small, but think the Small would also fit fine. The sleeves aren't an issue, I don't think they are to long. I plan on buying another one in a different color.

Good coat but snug
July 11, 2011

I like this Champion coat. I have another that is more of a wind breaker/running coat. It is size small and fits perfect. I ordered small for this coat but could barely get my arm through the armhole. I am 5'6" and 116 lbs so Small usually fits very well. I returned the S for a medium and it fits better but is quite snug. I am not able to layer under it and can only wear one thin t-shirt. Feels nice though and the arms are nice and long. It is good for a slight chill but not for cold.

Very well made but....

This hoodie is really nice and high quality but the arms are really long and without something around the wrists it just hangs over (making me look like I am wearing my mommys jacket!) Not for someone who is petite which is so sad because the jacket is awesome.

Nice jacket

I really did like the jacket and I did like the sleeves being a little long to keep my hands warm. Mine was too small with a Large, so I would need an extra large. But I wear both sizes, so it's hard to tell. I would say it runs a tiny bit small.

Overall great jacket. I live in Portland and for the days when there's light rain, this jacket is my go-to. Its warmth makes it comfortable at any mid to low temperature, while is protects against light rain. There is no skimping on the sleeve length, which I appreciate. Only disadvantage is it can wear if a purse or backpack is consistently against the fabric during motion. Nonetheless, durable, comfortable and goes with anything!

I've searched for a jacket with thumb holes for a long time and I was so excited when I found this jacket! I was even more excited when it arrived and was an amazing colour. A lot of reviews said that it fits small so I got a medium which was a little too big but I have long arms so I kept it. Overall I've been very pleased with this jacket and would certainly recommend it

Nice jacket, fits a little small
March 10, 2011

I purchased this as a spring jacket (bought a small). When I received it, I tried it on and the sleeves were short. The fit was also tight. I am 5 feet tall and weigh 110. There are thumb holes and when I put my thumbs in, it pulled the sleeves down to an uncomfortable fit.

Pros: Build quality, Cons: sizing is off

great!
July 19, 2010

I love this jacket! i was in stores trying on lots of brands of jackets similar to this and i like this one the best. as far as size goes i found that the different colors ran a little bit different sizes( i tried on different colors at different stores). most of the reviews say they run small but i ordered my size in the lemongrass color and it was just right. i would say the fit is "fitted"

great spring jacket
April 04, 2011

I am 5'10 and usually wear a medium but the other reviews suggested to buy one size up. The large fits great, there is room at the hips and the sleeves are a good length even when you use the thumb holes. (I wore a t-shirt and long sleeve shirt together underneath.) I love the color and the fleece is so soft on the inside. I received several compliments on the jacket. The jacket is thicker then I thought, but I like it better that way, it makes it nice for windy weather. I am very happy with this product, I want to get another one in a different color!

Pros: Great design, Build quality

My wife loves it
September 03, 2010

I bought this for my wife since she was always complaining about not having something lighter to wear on chilly days. She's moved to Washington state from California, and is almost always cold. She can throw this on, and stays warm down in the 40s. The water repellent coating works great as well. She wore it out on a drizzly day, after a few shakes, was perfectly dry after half an hour in the rain. Overall, both she and I are very pleased.

Bummer
December 28, 2010

I wanted to love this jacket since it looked good from the image posted but found the details I have come to expect were lacking. The arms are too long (I am 5'7 and arms reasonably long) even in a medium. Also the pockets were not sewn well and the zipper hit me in the neck (no internal zipper cover!). Fabric was odd, stiff and not comfortable. Made in China. Bummer.

Really cute
March 11, 2011

The medium is true to size with a stylish, slim fit (I'm 5'8", average weight). Reminds me of Lululemon jackets but better quality and you don't have that annoying logo on your clothes. Kind of fleecy inside, but not as soft as your average fleece because of the exterior material. Got the Oceanic color, which looks much more green to me than in the picture and compared to other Columbia products in Oceanic -- but I like it better. I will wear this to the gym, walking, hikes, also good for jeans when you want to be casual and comfy, yet have some style.

Snug fit at the hips
March 28, 2011

I usually wear a Medium but this jacket fit really uncomfortably snug around my hips so I suggest sizing up. It is designed to be form fitting. I have 36" hips and the medium was too tight. I really liked the jacket and the material so I ordered a Large and it is great and the sleeves ended up not being too long. I can comfortably wear a long sleeved t-shirt underneath.

Pros: great material, Cons: tight at the hip

Size up!!

Great jacket. Love the material and cozy inside! Jacket fits snugly, so I would suggest going one size bigger than you would normally wear. The fit is slimming and looks great on.

tight fit
September 08, 2011

I read other reviews of this item before buying it and should have heeded the warning about fit and ordered a size up. I always wear a large, always have, always will, but ought to have gone for the XL in this. I am 5'11" 170lbs with broad shoulders and long arms. I bought this as an indoor layering piece for school primarily where the classrooms are freezing cold. The fit is fine -- I like the slim cut -- but the fabric has no give or stretch which makes mobility difficult. It's not particularly warm either -- it's not a fuzzy fleecy fleece -- but that said it's a nice garment and I'd buy another but size up this time as I really do like the color selection. I can still layer thin sweaters under it, but nothing heavy duty. The sleeves are long enough, but only because of the thumbhole feature.

Pros: Great design

not for girls with curves
September 06, 2010

I ordered the jacked in Patina and the color was beautiful. The jacket was well made and I loved it... until I tried it on. I'm 5'4" and have a curvy frame and the slender cut of the jacket was a little too narrow for my hips. I'm disappointed because the jacket was really cute and would be great for someone with a slimmer frame.

Perfect for Foggy San Francisco
August 11, 2010

I am 5'1" and petite, and bought an XS Patina. Color is accurate on website. It is well-fitted without being tight, and allows at most a light long sleeved T underneath. It does a great job keeping me warm on dog walks at mid 50s-60sF, and is decent at wind breaking. It covers the hip and the zip doesn't bunch around the hem like many hoodies do. I have a few very minor criticisms: Sleeve length comes down to mid-thumb, but the thumb holes are placed a bit high on the sleeve - I can walk with my thumbs in the thumb holes, but if I need to reach upwards/outwards, the there isn't enough give to do this comfortably. And it's not like I have long arms. Also, I appreciate that the zip comes up to the chin, but there is zip left over, which isn't really a bother except that it makes me feel like I have a short neck. Overall it is my go-to hoodie for errands, dog walks, hanging out, hikes. Inner fleece is soft/slightly fluffy, outer side is soft but tough and water repelling. Well placed warm pockets, flattering cut. I recommend it!
