Description

When trudging up the Shuksan Arm in the middle of a Mt. Baker cold snap, you require a killer performance parka like this one that’s super warm yet breathable and won’t weigh you down. The Frosty Forest is constructed from a cool matrix textural fabric with Omni-Tech® waterproof-breathability and full seam sealing to keep you dry in the soggiest conditions. This jacket’s extreme warmth comes from the amazing 3-point Interchange liner. 700-fill goose down insulates you from arctic air, and an Omni-Heat® thermal reflective lining provides revolutionary heat retention while still promoting breathability. Interior comfort cuffs provide a great fit, while thumbholes up the security factor. Zip-closed hand pockets, a mesh goggle pocket, and security pockets stash all your stuff securely.

thumb gaitor straight jacket
December 14, 2010

I was very excited to see this jacket with a down liner. It has many great features including pit zips in both the liner and the shell, lots of pockets, and thumb gaitors. However, when using the thumb gaitors, I could barely move my arms, while without them the fit was fine. I ended up sending the jacket back, even though it would have been OK without the thumb gaitors, but I ultimately decided that neither of the available colors was very attractive, at least to me. But altogether, this is a well-made, well-thought-out jacket.

Women's Frosty Forest Parka
May 15, 2011

I have looked for a down jacket that is both warm and durable without looking extremely bulky and have never found one until now. I am thin and usually have cold air coming up from the bottom, but this does not happen even with my slight build. The arms are also usually a problem for me, as they never have enough insulation or else they are confining, but this jacket does not have these problems either. It is a great value in a jacket. It is tough as well as warm and good looking.

Stay Warm for Sure in This Parka!
February 27, 2011

Ordered two of these jackets one for myself and one for my daughter. Wore mine on my morning walk on a very cold New England winter morning with a pretty good windchill. Ordered a size larger because I like to wear lots of layers underneath. I stayed very warm and didn't even feel the wind through the jacket. Yeah! Now this is what I call a great winter parka! Definetly worth every penny. I just love it!

Nice Coat
April 04, 2011

So far I am loving this coat but hoping that I will be able to put it away soon for some summer weather! I believe it is truly a steal at the sale price. The goose down is very warm and the shell seems to be quite wind resistant. I have been making use of the underarm zippers because it keeps me so warm. My only complaint is the color. I purchased the Tidewater/Bolt because I love bright colors. Bolt is definately bright, however it appears that some of the day from the Tidewater shell has run onto the down liner. Hopefully the stains will come off in the wash. Size: Typically when I buy tops, I buy Smalls (5'6", 120lbs) but I figured I would want a Medium coat so it wasn't too tight on sweaters etc. The coat fits to my liking (but I did order a size up than typical). The shoulder/underarm area seems a little snug, and the overall look is a bit boxy. Its a warm coat though, I wasn't going for attractive fit.

Awesome Jacket!
July 15, 2011

This jacket fits amazingly! Its super warm. The pockets are fleece lined which is so soft and I love it. The yellow down jacket is very bright but I really like the color. I'm 5'8" and 150 lbs and I got the medium. The length and sleeve length is perfect.

Pros: Great design, Build quality
