As a long time Columbia fan, I was disappointed with these capris. Darn. This pair was not well constructed well and I ended up returning them. Rats. Onward in my shopping.

Best capri I own!
July 03, 2011

I love this capri! For once I agree 100% with the description, and want to add my own complimentary comments. Everything about it is wonderful: the fabric feels silky soft and is stretchy; the color is unusual - Tusk: very pretty, between medium tan and grayish taupe, goes with everything; the fit is flattering -holds in place what gravity tends to want to pull down without binding; the fabric is resilient -I wore it 10+ hours working in a hot warehouse, going up and down ladders and it was still comfortable and did not stretch out of shape; pockets are where you want them; it is true to size - 5'6" 134 lbs, size 8 is perfect- I got it 10 days ago, have worn it 3 times already, and it comes out of the cold wash and cold dryer as good as new every time. And, for an added bonus: it is very stylish!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

How do I love thee, let me count the ways...
February 24, 2012

These pants are fabulous!! I got them on clearance, but if I had the money I would be buying them up even at a higher price. I got the tusk color, and it is a little different than a typical khaki, but it works well with a lot of colors, and they wash very well. These pants are so light it is the next best thing to wearing nothing. They move with you and don't weigh you down at the end of a long day. The vents are interesting - I am looking forward to wearing these in the summer for sure! They are the perfect length, too. Long enough to be more flattering, but short enough to still wear with sneakers. Mine fit perfectly, but the waistband really seems to allow for changes - if you gain some pounds, these will still fit, and vice versa. Ooh, and the waistband is lined with a delightfully soft fabric and no itchy tag! I highly recommend these pants!!

Comfortable but not durable
March 22, 2012

The fabric is much more stretchy than I thought it would be, which made the pants super comfy. It also is extremely water repellent, which I liked. However, I found that if it did get wet (after I soaked myself in the river) and then was rubbed (by my pack), it pilled like crazy. Also, because the fabric is so stretchy, it's tricky to wring dry if hand washing (felt like I was going to stretch 'em way out of shape). I got the pants in black and beige. The black was fine (more of a dark charcoal gray), but the beige ones had a weird texture visible in the weave (looking sort of velvety) that I hadn't seen in the photos online. Not a fan of the beige color.

Pros: comfortable, Cons: Wears quickly, Poor quality
