Very comfortable and versatile fit with the under arm vents. I usually wear a small and that is what I ordered. I feel that I can wear a light fleece under it or just a shirt. It is exactly what I have been looking for to wear on long walks.

This jacket is exceptionally well made. It does run big, so consider going down one size. Liked that the body is longer than average. Unfortunately, the sleeves are way too long. I am more likely to have the opposite complaint, as I do have long arms. But this seems to be a design flaw that Columbia should correct. I ended up sending it back, and getting a Pategonia rain jacket instead, even though it lacked the length and better designed pit-zips of this Columbia jacket. The arm length was more than I could deal with. Since I returned it I can't actually speak to its performance, but expect it would be great. If you are a super-tall woman, perhaps over 5'10'', then maybe your arms will be the right size. If so, this is the perfect rain jacket for you.
