Frustrating
May 13, 2010

The fabric these pants are made from is great, and I love the "tank" color. My main objection is the back pockets. They're too small and make your butt look huge. It reminds me of old Lee jeans - those pockets didn't flatter anyone. Also, if you're on the curvier side, these pants are definitely not for you. They also run small so order yourself a size larger. I'm 5'2" and normally wear a size 2 in hiking gear. The size 4 short fit me...aside from the aforementioned huge backside issue.

too low cut for me....
July 26, 2010

The fabric is wonderful and the pants look great whether for hiking or travel. I am returning them, however. I wanted to wear them for sun protection while rafting through the Grand Canyon. They are cut a bit low for sitting in a raft all day and being comfortable.

Runs fairly small!
May 13, 2010

I have not gotten a chance to really wear these yet, they run pretty small. I'm usually a 6, sometimes a 4, but the size 6 of this pant, although buttonable, was very tight. I did really like the material, color and cut, though, so I will be ordering a larger size.

Most comfortable pants ever!
May 18, 2011

Not sure what they do to the material but they are truly the softest, most comfortable pants ever! Wish all my pants could be made of this stuff! Looking forward to wearing them on my trip to Africa this summer...

Pros: Build quality

Great Pants!
April 29, 2010

I really like these pants. I have two pair now. They run smaller and are very form fitting so you may want to size up. They will be perfect for travel and for any activity that requires stretchy pants. Also, the tank color is a darker army green than what is pictured.

Love these pants
May 04, 2011

This is one of the most flattering and comfortable pair of pants I've ever purchased. I bought them for a trip out West but now I'm wearing them everywhere at home.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

Great Pants, Light weight and shed water.
May 28, 2010

I really like these pants. I thought they would be too light weight for walking through tall grass but they work great due to the fact they shed water. Great buy. I will definitely buy another pair.

I've only owned these pants for a few hours now, but I am in love. These are the most comfortable, flattering pants I have ever put on; I received compliments on them within a couple minutes of walking out the door. They are a bit clingy, but not unbearably so. I'm 5'6, average build, and the size 6 fits me perfectly. I'm always a little leery of buying pants online, but you can't go wrong with these. I hope they last!

A winner!
March 21, 2011

I have been looking for comfortable, lightweight and stretchy slim fit pants in a stone color and finally found them. Got them in the fossil and most light-colored pants are not as flattering as black ones but these are! They are slim fit, almost like bootcut leggings. Besides my beloved Prana KT pants they are the most comfortable yet stylish pants I have ever owned. I am a size 2/4 for most pants and these fit me well in size 4. They were bit snug at the beginning in the thigh area but they stretch out with wearing. I always find it helpful to have direct measurements of the garment when ordering online, so I write it down for potential buyers of size 4: t the waist measures approx. 15" laid flat and the hip 17". I highly recommend these pants, you won't regret it!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: flattering fit

Oh happy day! Pants that flatter, fit, feel great on
September 13, 2010

just received these so can't attest to how they wear over time but WOW, these are great pants. I'll just second the other positive comments: highly recommended for all the reasons and activities for which you purchase pants. I bought these 1 size up and I'm glad that I did: they do run a tad small. Otherwise, absolutely perfect. If you see your size, grab 'em. You won't be sorry.

sleek, lightweight, mobile indeed
April 25, 2010

So far I am impressed with these pants. They are long and lean and stretchy, so they feel less like pants than, say, sturdy yoga pants. They are a tad butt-hugging, so be warned, you may want to size up ;-) I love that Columbia (and Altrec) offers length variants in their pants--as well as choice options like the Mumbai Mover that don't fit like men's cargo pants! I'm 5'6" 120 lb and the size 6 is a perfect fit. Will likely buy another pair. Brown please!
