Great jacket!!
January 04, 2012

I live where it rains everyday. So I wanted a longer, fitted jacket. This one is perfect. Fits mid thigh and fitted through the waist for a slimming look. I got the dark blue one and it's a nice shade with classy stitching. Totally recommend this jacket!!

One of the best purchases ever
December 26, 2011

I bought this for a Spain trip I took with my sister and I really like it. It stops wind and is very warm when used with a patagonia ultra light down jacket, and it does an excellent job of keeping the rain out. I bought a large (which was a size bigger than I normally wear) to put over my extra slim down jacket and it fit perfectly. The build material is very high quality and the sky blue color I purchased looks fantastic. I wish I had bought another one for my sister while it was still on sale because I got a very good deal on it.

Great Rain Coat
December 26, 2011

This is a great rain jacket! It is extremely light weight which is great for warmer weather rains. The jacket also feels very sturdy. The seams feel tight and well constructed and do a great job of keeping the water out. However, be sure to look at the measurement for the appropriate sizes. Some of the reviews say it runs large, but I found that it runs right on size with the measurements. All in all a great rain protection jacket.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Great value
Comfort: 4 / 5
Durability: 4 / 5
Quality: 4 / 5

Wind proof
November 14, 2011

It worked fine for the windy Chicago trip. I'm 5' tall and 36c chest and bought xs. Feels bit tight. The weather was fine, so I don't know about water proof.

October 27, 2011

Have not had to wear it in a downpour, but blocks the wind nicely and water was beading in a light rain. Quality product would definitely buy again. Does run a little small. Returned the large for an extra large and that fits, without being overly roomy.

Very nice jacket
October 06, 2011

I recently bought this jacket as a replacement during rainy weather. Overall it seems to be well made, and stylish for a rain jacket. I love the color, and the fit is flattering. I ordered a medium and it fit true to size. I like how it is slightly longer, but has the two way zipper. I only gave it four stars as opposed to five because it is not as breathable as I would like. It is very lightweight though, and will make a nice jacket for spring into fall (SC).

Excellent Rain Jacket
October 05, 2011

Had a few others prior to this one and so far this one wins. It's a bit longer than most and the zipper can go up from the bottom so it's not tight when sitting. The zipper can be a pain, thought mine was busted, but the bottom zipper has to be all the way down (you'll hear it click) before you can zip up. The hood is just big enough to cover my head even with my hair up in a ponytail and I can layer a sweater under with no problem. I'm 5' 7", about 148lbs and the medium fits great. Got mine in the "Tank" green color - a standard army green. No pit vents, but you can't have it all. Overall good buy, definitely recommended.

It worth your money
September 17, 2011

It was my first purchase on this website, but not the first of Columbia outwear. My first time shopping experience was great. I have received a discount for creating an account with Altrec.com and decided to use it right away. Reviews were helpful, and I was looking for something with longer length, and color red! This red raincoat looks very fashionable and I already got several complements on it. It has good wind protection, and it will keep you warm on a cool rainy day. Double-sided (up and down) zipper is definitely a plus, both for driving in a car and/or walking. I cannot say enough good words about the quality of material, but if you ever had Columbia you won't settle for less. I will definitely recommend this purchase.

I am glad I bought this.
September 13, 2011

I bought this for myself and mom for our cruise to Alaska and I am so glad I did! I got black for myself and light blue for my mom and light blue color is so elegant in person. My mom is very picky 'fashionista' and she loved the color and we both loved how LIGHT this jacket is. It's a great windbreaker/rain-jacket that doesn't make you sweat in the material yet keeps you very warm. Only draw back is the vecro on the sleeve. It's a good-buy for the price. And the shipping & delivery was SUPER FAST!

First time jacket
August 14, 2011

Overall a very good rain jacket. Fits a little small, had to return L but intend to get xl so I can wear a sweater underneath. Also, wanted more of a car coat length and this is close. Looking forward to getting the new size.

Love the jacket. Love that it has the zipper overlap and that it is with buttons. The only part I do not like is that there is velcro on the wrists instead of buttons.

Needed a rain jacket
July 13, 2011

This jacket fits perfectly, hugs in the right places but loose enough for layering or a jacket underneath. Love the white color. The weather in South Carolina varies from the foothills, where I go to college, to the coastal Lowcountry, where I live. This jacket is perfect for bridging the two.

Great Commuting Rain Jacket
June 17, 2011

I needed a light waterproof rain jacket with a hood for my walks to the train station. This jacket is great. Totally waterproof, the rain just beads up and runs off and the hood works great when the rain is not quite heavy enough to use the umbrella. It is nicely tailored/detailed and the zipper can also be worked from the bottom up for sitting comfortably. The sleeves also have a velcro adjustment which is really nice. Since I have not been in driving, windy rain, I cannot speak to it's wind tolerance, but based on everything else, I believe it will hold up just fine. This jacket will going lots of places with me as it is lightweight and will be easy to pack. Paired with my new Chooka Rain Boots, I am high and dry! I usually wear a Medium but opted for a Large and am glad I did.

Nicest Rain Jacket I've Bought
May 05, 2011

The Ramble Rain Jacket is well-made and attractive. I have worn it in the rain and it works very well to keep me dry. I did have to exchange the large (which I usually wear) for an extra large because I could not have worn a sweater with the large size. But the extra large is just fine and really looks good. I purchased it because we are going to Ireland in two weeks - I think it will work very well if (?) it rains.

ireland proof
May 03, 2011

Took this jacket to ireland. The jacket arrived the day before i left and had no time to try it out but once we got there it lived up to its descriptions. The hood is big and has a adjustment to make it smaller. The material is very good and has a fleece part around the top of the zipper so it didnt rub against my chin. Wish it had underarm vents but as long as i had a a t-shirt or long sleeve i was ok, a sweater did make it a bit hot. Really really really enjoyed this jacket and did not have any problems with the website or delivery.

Love this rain jacket although I ordered a medium and should have ordered a small. It does run on the larger size in my case but I will kept this one anyways as I love the look of this jacket. When wearing in rain, kept me very dry. Length is also good to keep pants dry in wet weather. I would buy again and recommend this jacket for people looking for a good rain jacket.
