Hurt around the ankle area
July 08, 2011
I just got my shoes and took them on a short, easy 6-mile hike to break them in. The area behind the lacing hooks on the top (around the ankle) hurt; think from the friction. They are light, however. Would work if they were more comfortable around the ankle area.Pros: light, Cons: hurt friction around ankle

Lightweight and well constructed - will take a little time getting used to the mid length. Bought in size 7 for hiking/camping adventures and happy with my purchase. Great looking shoe also - form can follow function! Great price from Altrec and shipped quickly!Pros: light, quality, good design

Very comfortable and sturdy, and they look very good too. The break-in time was negligible; I wore them around the house for a bit, and that was enough. I ordered a half-size larger, but they seem to be true to size.
