I haven't worn these pants yet but the fit is pretty much true to size. Very good quality. The pants are easily converted to shorts and very easy putting the pants back together again as well.

I have searched for pants for an upcoming National Parks tour with a comfortable fit, good-looking after a day of riding, & adaptable for a range of temperatures......you know, the 'perfect pants'. At 5'3+", 145#, I am size 12 petite or regular depending on the cut. The waist was a good fit, but unfortunately, these pants were 2" too long & would have been a very involved alteration with zippers on the legs. The fit was too tight in the seat to be comfortable or lady-like in the regular size, but the petite would have been too short all over. I'm trying other styles from Altrec in the hopes for that perfect fit.

I did a lot of research before I bought these and I am happy to report that they lived up to my expectations. Most importantly they are cut to fit a more mature figure. That little bit of extra room in the hips and thighs makes a big difference. I also appreciate the slightly longer rise so that they fit closer to the natural waist. The fabric is nice and lite. Perfect for spring and fall days that start and end on the cool side but can be fairly warm in the afternoon. The zip-off legs are nice for that too.

The fix is perfect. I ordered the long which have a great length, I am 5'11". I think they would fix up to 6'1". The pants have a stretch to them so they are very comfortable.

I'm 5'4" and weigh 138 so I ordered size 8 short in fossil. The color seems lighter than shown but I'm glad. They are bigger than I thought and I wish "short" was maybe an inch shorter. I'm going to order a 6 short, see how it fits, and then decide which pair I want to keep. They are comfortable and very lightweight and the quality is great. If the 6 fits tight I will probably look for another pair of convertible pants Altrec offers.
