4.5 out of 5

The coat is for my daughter in middle school. They require uniforms so we needed white. It's nice because the clothes underneath don't show through, the coat is light, comfortable and very water proof. Fits true to size and is long enough to keep rain out. We haven't had to wash it yet but expect it to wear well.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, nice looking!
A fitted cut with enough room for thin underlayer.
October 14, 2009
I purchased this jacket in a black/small. It has a good length to cover hips and middle when bending. I like to layer, and have room for a thin Columbia fleece hoodie, underneath. Layering makes the armpits a bit snug, however. Love the look - a very flattering fit.

This is a great jacket. The fit was what I expected. I will be taking it on a Panama Canal trip later this month.
Poor fit, flimsy lining
November 17, 2009
A size medium usually fits well, but on this jacket style, the hips are too tight and if I put a fleece vest on, the torso is too tight. The mesh lining feels flimsy and it catches on my watch when I put my arm in the sleeve. It's going back!

Gorgeous color (Bark). Great quality construction and fit. Great quality fabric. Arrived quickly.
A nice raincoat jacket
June 11, 2010
A light raincoat with a nice clean look to it, as advertised. Based on other comments I ordered a size up (large instead of medium) but I think a medium would have probably been just fine. The sleeves are very long; I have to fold them back so my hands can come out of the sleeves. Other than that the coat is long enough to cover my hips and keep me dry, so I cam pleased with my purchase.
Great multiuse shell for both outdoor or city
October 17, 2010
I was looking for a light, breathable, packable, rain shell that would work for both hiking/outdoor adventure, as well as everyday city/travel use. This jacket fits the bill. Unlike most shells, which tend to have a sporty silhouette that doesn't always work for dressier city wear, this shell has a straight-sided, tailored shape. The bark brown color is awesome, looks semi like a trench coat, and works for travel/business. Great coverage. I'm not worried about my 'seat' getting wet! I am a slender 5'6", long torso, and usually wear S/M tops. However they only had a L so I ordered it. It actually fits fine, sleeves are a bit long but not a problem, and I can wear it over my down sweater/jacket easily. Planning to rely on it for an upcoming oversees trip with both backpacking and regular tourist activities.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, stylish cut

The coat is excellent and is exactly as described. It arrived very soon after I placed the order.
Powell's Rain Jacket - Columbia
November 05, 2009
I love this jacket. It is exactly what I was looking for. Not only does it keep you perfectly dry, it literally repels water. It's great quality. I love it.
the fit of this jacket looks nice but runs small
June 07, 2009
I purchased this in size large and found it much too small. I will reorder it in XL and hope it fits better. You should note in your description that "active fit" also means that it runs smaller than a regular fit.
