Very nice raincoat

I bought this coat to be used as a layering piece for the wet Northwest. It runs small. As someone who takes a Medium or Large in tops depending on the cut, I had to get an X-Large coat. I can wear it with a fleece underneath for added warmth or by itself. It still has a slim fit by itself. The arms are long, but when they are cinched with the velcro they fit fine. The features of this coat provide a very practical piece of outerwear with bungee cinches at the waist and hood for keeping dry, the inner and outer pockets, and the pit zips for keeping cool if needed. The length of the coat is just right - not too short to feel exposed in the back and long enough to be covered but not swamped with material. Overall this is a good quality coat.

I bought this rain jacket as a gift for my sister-in-law for Christmas, and she was very happy with it. I have the 3-in-1 Bugaboo Parka, and the shell is similar to this jacket. It is a well-made product with great protection from wind and rain. Plus, the Adriatic (teal) is a beautiful color! I usually wear a medium in most tops/jackets (5'6", 150 lbs), and my S-I-L is about the same size as I am (maybe a little thinner). I ordered a medium and tried it on first. It was a snug fit on me, and I definitely wouldn't be able to wear a heavy sweater underneath. I crossed my fingers, and fortunately it fit her nicely. On a side note, I did choose a large in my Bugaboo simply because it is bulkier with the liner and shell combo. The liner is fleece, which fits fine, but the shell alone (which I assume would be comparable in size to this coat?) is a little big on me. I'm not sure if it is fair to compare these two coats, but I would have definitely have to get a large with this rain coat.
