Offering performance for 4 seasons of outdoor adventure, the Columbia Women's Whirlibird Interchange Jacket is as versatile as it is stylish. The Zip-in Interchange System gives you 3 jackets: an insulated waterproof shell, an insulated liner jacket that can be worn on its own, and when combined together you have a weatherproof winter parka that will keep you warm and dry when you hit the slopes.

With an outer shell made from Omni-Tech® nylon fabric, this winter jacket is waterproof, breathable and durable as you brush past evergreens seeking a stash of powder in the trees. The collar is lined with luxurious high pile fleece for cozy comfort against your cheeks and a snap-back powder skirt seals out unwanted snow. The liner jacket is stuffed with quilted polyester insulation and has buttery soft wrist gaiters with thumbholes. Both coats are treated with an Omni-Shield® finish to resist moisture and dirt and both have pit zips to help vent excess heat. You have enough pockets to keep you out on the slopes for hours and the reflective Omni-Heat® lining ensures cold temperatures won't send you home early.

Take the liner jacket on a summer backpacking trip or wear the rain jacket alone for a walk in spring showers. Like the Swiss army knife of the jacket kingdom, the Columbia Sportswear Whirlibird Interchange Jacket for women is a must-have for your outdoor lifestyle.

Love it!
December 18, 2011

I absolutely love this jacket. I watched the video and thought it was very helpful with the size selection, as well as product description. I am 5'8'' and around 130lbs and I ordered size M and it fits perfect. The jacket is not bulky at all and I love the little thumb sleeves. The jacket is also very versatile and I love the colors (I got the black one- and was afraid that the green would not be nice color(it seemed on the image) but in fact it is a really nice green with pattern. So all in all, I will be using this jacket for more than just the ski slopes.

This is a good quality Jacket. Love the dark Turquoise color! Not too Bulky ~ Comfortable and kept me warm when skiing. I usually wear Petite sm and this reg small fit me perfectly ~ So I'm gonna say this runs a little on the small side. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

Beautiful jacket
January 18, 2012

I just purchased for my wife. Its better than I expected. The color is beautiful and my wife was so pleased when she saw the jacket in person. I was happy to see they offered some thing other than plain black and super brights. The fit is great but definitely go a size larger than you normally would as it is two jackets (liner, and outer). The outer seems super tough and the inner is cozy and warm. Cant wait to use it as the temps drop.

a warm clothing
April 19, 2012

After a few weeks of wearing this jacket, I really like it. Very warm and attractive. The thumb holes are a nice touch as well, though they took a little bit of getting used to, such as how to best wear mittens with them. Definitely recommend!

Good look, warm and light. I like it. It let me looks so slim. And high quality. The color is right, the blue looks young and easy to do with different pants, not only jeans, but also athletics.

Great coat but runs small
January 27, 2012

This seems like a really nice coat, well made and very warm. I ordered a small but ended up returning it because it was too tight (especially in the shoulder and arm area) for me to feel comfortable to ski in. I ordered a medium in a different style Columbia jacket and it fits perfectly. I am 5'7" and weigh 125 pounds.

My Wife's Very Happy!!
January 20, 2012

The durable waterproof and Breathable outer shell coupled with the omni heat inner liner are just a few of the Whirlibird's attributes. My daughter has had one for some time and I could see my wife had taken Subtle interset in the jacket ,trying it on when my daughter was'nt around. They're about the same size, so I told my wife about Altrec's pricing compared to outerwear stores in the area for this jacket and within a day my thrifty companion asked me to get her one! When she tried it on the fit was perfect and so was her delight. She's been wearing it everyday to work were looking stylish and professional matters; and this jacket keeps her warm here in CHILLY PHILLY were we live and the weather is 28 degrees. And being a interchangeable parka enabling you to shed the linner when it warms up, is also another great feature. As a married man you know that when your wife's happy your happy Thanks Altrec!!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, stylish, great colors, happy wife
