Good Purchase

I am happy with the shoes; they are fun and warm! Lining is super soft. They do run a little bit big but i prefer that then too small. They have a moccasin-like style to them.

I bought these for my preteen daughter who has not taken them off since. All of her friends are wanting to know where she got them and they have held up well against this crazy winter in the northeast.

Runs Small!
December 27, 2010

This boot is a nice and warm for winter wear, but runs a whole size large, so had to exchange for a smaller size. Size chart on Altrec does not match actual boot size. Go to Columbia's website for actual size chart.

Disappointed
January 09, 2011

This shoe looks nice but the fit of the shoe is not. I wear an 8 normally but ordered a 7.5 and found the shoe was too big. The shoe slid around on my foot and it had alot of extra room around my ankle. The boot was tight around my calf. Unfortunately I will be returning these and making a different purchase.

cute, snug and warm
February 21, 2012

I'm really enjoying my new boots so far. I'm happy with the style, fit, and price. These are my first pair of Columbia boots. My only qualm is that they don't have any extra room for pants to be tucked in (not jeans or pants, but leggings or yoga pants might fit) so bunching my pants on top of them makes for a different kind of look. I ordered the Tobacco color and its a nice warm honey brown. The laces are a bit long so I'm wrapping them around the top and tying them in the back underneath the fur... seems to work well since they zip off anyway. They are warm and have excellent traction. I haven't yet used them in heavy, wet snow, but on packed snow they do great. They are very comfortable straight away, and the foot/arch support and light weight make me want to jump and skip through the snow. I'm 5'10 and always a 9 in shoes/heels and a 9.5 in boots. I ordered a 9.5 in these, and they are a lil snug at the toes, but certainly not enough for me to size up. I would describe them like a short/mid boot as they hit me just below mid-calf and well above the ankle.

Pros: good support, Cons: snug no room to tuck pants
