Cool, comfortable, but HUGE!

I ordered my usual, roomy jean size in these pants. Big mistake! They were HUGE! I could have easily fit comfortably in a pair two sizes smaller, so I recommend ordering at least one size down. That being said, they were really cute and functional. They seemed like they would be really comfortable, given the right size. Unfortunately Altrec's size selection is limited, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get another pair, but I'm definitely watching this space!

High Waist from Down Under

I was very excited to receive these pants but disappointed once I got them on. They are EXTREMELY high-waisted compared to the mid-rise pants I ordinarily wear. The waist band hit exactly at my natural waist just under my ribs which is just too high for me to feel comfortable so I'll be sending them back. Unlike the other review the sizing didn't seem overly large to me. I'm 5'4" w longer legs, curvy mid-140s and the 8 fit as expected. Otherwise I'm giving Excellent marks for quality & durability as they are very well made.

Great pants

This is my first treking pants and have no idea what to expect, I normally wear jeans on every trip but there are times jeans just won't do. This pants is yet to test its water repellent feature, but it has done its job thus far. It is comfortable enough you can hike in them and yet not too rough that you can't wear them for a trip to the city.
