The Gold 10 is recommended for off-trail enthusiasts who want to go where they want to go. The Gold 10, like all the Crescent Moon snowshoes is a tear drop shaped shoe that gives you greater maneuverability than traditionally shaped shoes and provides a more athletic response and performance whether you're on the trail or off. The Gold 10, also known as the "Backcountry" model has additional stainless steel tracking crampons, called traversing claws that provide a grip like no other which makes you feel like you can go in any direction, including straight across the fall line. In fact, this year's model has a more aggressive traction system than last year's including a heel claw that's nearly twice as large. If you're headed to the backcountry, you'll appreciate the maneuverability and lightweight feel of the Gold 10.
