Excellent backpack! Used the other day for a backpacking trip and carried my board perfectly! Wasn't awkward or heavy, couldn't even tell I was carrying the board! Plenty of space in the backpack for all the necessities as well...highly recommended! Product was also shipped very quickly! Happy with the purchase and with altrec!
Pros: Great design, Ease of useGreat Pack With Great Pockets for Organizing Gear

The DaKine Pro2 pack is a great pack for those interested in having a well organized day pack for everything from back country ski expeditions or just a day on the slopes. The pack has a unique carrying system for strapping both skis and snowboards on. Inside you will find two large compartments with convenient dividers for items like water bottle and other common items.
Okay, but it's got some issues...

This pack works fairly well, but I definitely ran into some problems. First off, it's really not big enough for anything besides avy gear and a hydration bladder. Good luck fitting even an extra layer in it. The pack is really only useful in-bounds at a resort, it's just not large enough for a real day of backcountry boarding. The second problem is that I've only had this pack for one season, and the shoulder straps are starting to tear at the bottom from carrying my board horizontally. There is hypalon on top of the straps that's supposed to protect them from the edge of the board, but mine are cut most of the way through after only a few months. Now on to the good... I love the avy pocket. It's huge, and it's one of the few packs I've seen that will fit my Voile Telepro shovel head along with my probe (the probe barely fits, but I can get it in there - BD Quickdraw 265). The pocket won't fit the shovel handle, but the ice-axe holder on the right side does a good job of keeping that in place. I like the hydration tube routing, even though it could use some more insulation (my hose froze up a couple times this year). The goggle pocket is pretty sweet and does a great job of protecting the goggles. Overall, I like this pack, but it's just too small for it's intended purpose and the hypalon straps at the bottom are a little too fragile to trust out in the backcountry. Fix these problems and I'll take another look, but as of now, I wouldn't recommend it.
Pros: fits my shovel, insulated hydration sleeve, Cons: Wears quickly, small sizeWrite a review for the DaKine Pro 2 Snow Pack here.
Another great product from Dakine

After purchasing the Dakine Heli Pro pack for my normal every day commute, I was hooked on Dakine's quality and line of packs. Originally I was going to go with the next step up with the Heli Pro DLX, but after comparing that to my friend's Pro II I did not hesitate to go with the Pro II. The bag's features are what makes this an awesome bag for riding. From the fleece lined pouch on the waist to the easy access to the main compartment from the back and the color of the bag I'm glad I purchased this bag and would do it again without hesitation. The biggest differences between this bag and the DLX is the softer yet just as durable material of the overall bag in the Pro II and the main compartment access through the back. Despite filling up the pack, it still maintains a thin profile that won't push you off the chairlift. Love this bag!
Solid Bag!

Loving this bag! It looks great, and is compact, yet has a very good amount of space. This bag will has already served a plethora of different purposes. From a day at Baker snowboarding, a day hike in the hills on Chuckanut Drive, to a middle school class field trip. It's the perfect size and weight and there are too many handy features to list! I've been a fan of Dakine bags forever! My last bag was just retired after years of service including 4 separate backpacking trips through Europe totaling 10 months! I would wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend this bag to family and friends!
Good Day Pack

Overall this bag does everything you need it to. The ski attachment is very useful and durable and the straps on the bag are very strong and help the support the weight of the pack when it is fully loaded. Overall Dakine made a good pack which will not let you down.
